We have done both Contemp MK view and AKL Savanna view and they are both great, but the Contemporary wins hand down. There is nothing like sitting on your balcony every night watching Wishes!

Ahhh Contemporary is kicking butt! It's too bad my wife doesn't see the appeal of the place!

Right now we are booked for the boardwalk. For some reason I can't convince myself that the animal kingdom lodge is where we want to spend our whole vacation, as cool as it is. We could even do club level at AKL.

Boardwalk

location, location, location. EPCOT and DHS all within walking (or floating) distance, plus all the things to do at the Boarkwalk itself.

Wahoo! We are booked there already, so that encourages me not to deal with the hassle of switching =).

Dave, our first two nights are currently booked at the swan before we switch to the boardwalk inn for the next 5 nights. Would you stick with the swan, or would you say do the floridian or contemporary for the first two nights to give yourself some variety? We are going to do magic kingdom our first day.

If you are doing MK your first day, the Contemporary would be perfect.

I do not know if the Swan will coordinate and move your luggage to Boardwalk. the Swan is not a Disney resort. Disney resorts do provide that service.

If the Swan does NOT partcipate, then I would definately go with GF or Contemporary on the first two days. It is right next to MK and not having to deal with moving your luggage around is a big plus.

If the Swan DOES move your luggage, then it is less of an issue. But if you are going to be dealing with switching resorts mid trip anyway, then I would lean toward staying in a monorail resort just because you are going to MK the first day, but it would not be as critical.
