As others have mentioned, I miss Space Ship Earch without the hand that they left up for the Y2K celebration. I think it looks like it belongs in a park not in a Future World. Now they are leaving the Hat from the 100 year celebration.at MGM it looks like, though I have not seen it first hand yet.

All I can say is thank god they did not leave the castle looking like a cake!

I miss World of Motion the most because it was the first thing I saw other than SSE when I first went to EPCOT back in 83.

And also all the animatronics. They seem to be getting away from these, and to me these seemed to be part of the magic.

That is funny, I miss them too. Though I never got one. My parents always thought it was a waste of money. Which me and my sisters always were upset about. I look back now and realize how silly we were. My parents would take us to WDW every single year for at least 9 nights. We always stayed at the Polynesian with a castle view. And we would go home with more souviniers (Spelling?) than you could image.

Yet there we were jelous of the other kids with balloons. Very silly!

Long live the old attractions! I miss all of them. I was actually just talking to my sister about this

I really miss the Penny Arcade also. But, it's good you can still find a few of the things from there still at MK!

I miss the place at Epcot where you could get your picture drawn by these robots.

I guess I just miss the old school Disney World.

I agree. I have fond memories of the old WDW, even before Epcot and MGM. I miss them a lot. I know that the old Tomorrowland was outdated and that is why they went with the new one, but I still miss it. I miss the waterfalls as you entered Tomorrowland. I wish they kept the name WEDWay People Mover. Why re-name?

I agree. I loved the original Main Street Electrical Parade Music. I really don't like the Spectromagic music. When we went last time in 2000 they had brought back the original parade and music. But now I hear they are back to Spectromagic. Is that true?

and are you talking about the paver bricks? My wife and I bought one in 93 on our honeymoon with our wedding date on it. We bought one a few about 7 years ago for my niece's 1st birthday with her name on it. When my daughter was born we tried to do the same but we were told they are sold out now. They now have that thing at the front of Epcot, but I really don't like it.

Yup, Spectro is back. I miss MSEP also. It was my favorite parade. So was Mickey Mania.

I don't mind the floats in Spectro, they are cool. It is the music. I have the original music on a CD. I use to have it on a picture disc purchased at the Emporium back in the 70s, but I have no idea where it went along with all my other WDW stuff from when I was a kid. When I was a kid I had an old briefcase of my fathers filled with guide books, tickets brochures, etc. When I got old and stupid I lost them somewhere. I think when my mother moved, it all got tossed. :(

I miss every ride that has been closed or replaced.

I miss the cake castle (they should have kept it after the 25th Anniversary just like they kept the arm & hat).

Sorry, I have to disagree with the cake thing. I'm not a fan of the hat (though I have only seen pictures) and do not like the arm. It makes Spaceship Earth look funny. The cake if it stayed would have been horrible. The castle is beautiful, to cover it would be terrible.

This is only my opinion though.

I definetly miss Horizons the most. I miss the skyway (or the buckets, as my family used to call them). I also miss the sound of all the monorail doors closing as the CMs would run by slamming each door shut. There's alot more, I just don't have time to list it all.

If you to the castle (by Cindy's fountain behind the castle), you can still some of the pink paint from when it was a cake. Just thought I'd pass that on.

I miss the old strollers! They made that loud kool noise as you crossed the bridge to go into Adventureland! :p

What's up with that? You would think they would clean it off.

And that bridge is my favorite land transition area.

It's not really noticable (the pink paint). I just happened to notive because I was bored, standing by the castle. You have to look very hard.

*going back to the topic*

I miss the characters. I would love to get to see Mickey today.
