I guess I'm probably nuts, but I live in Wisconsin and I miss the heat and humidity when I leave.
We only get a few days each year that'll fog your glasses up here in Wisconsin. I love those days. I like it hot and humid.

I know for me I love the exitement buzz you get the night before ,it's like the commercial "I'm too excited to sleep" and the buzz you get when you see the castle from the ferry and when you walk down main street for the first time ohhhhhh it's awesome it's like a serious caffeine jolt only better. Can't wait till December!!:sohappy:

The thing I miss the most is....................hmmm.........the music. I just love walking around with the gentle sound of it every where I go.:)

I could not just name one thing.. I think i miss just being @ Disney in general. The sites, the sounds, smells, the cast members that are just so friendly.
And no matter how many times I am there or how old I get, It's still the same great feeling walking into your hotel and hearing "Welcome Home."
Can't wait til Sept.

I miss the care free, no worries attitude that Disney gives me whenever I'm there. Its kind of like a "safe place" where nothing bad happens.

X10:lol:
You can shamelessly be a kid again. You can show that excitement and no one looks at you like you're some kind of wierdo.

One of the most amazing things happened to me on our last trip. We were watching Illuminations and at the end of it, I tear up, every time. The music, the magic, the atmosphere, the fireworks, it all just overwhelms me a little bit and I tear up. That's the reason I love it so much. As I'm wiping my eyes, this big, burly guy standing next to me in a leather Harley Davidson jacket looks at me with complete understanding and says,

"Yeah man, me too."

Now where else on this nutty planet are you going to have that kind of thing happen? That's what I miss when I leave.

That relaxed feeling I always get as soon as I get on the Magical Express bus knowing I will be in a different world for 10 days without a care for all the other troubles and influences of normal everyday life. It is just so relaxing there.

I just miss being there, among that distinctive atmosphere that no other place has. It's been more than a year for me, I'm ready to go back. :(

The atmosphere in the parks in the evening, the great meals each night, and being with my family with all the typical stresses of home, left at home!!

I missed the music at Disney so much that I went out and bought 2 wireless speakers at Best Buy. They have 150 foot range. I put my Disney CD's on my stereo in my basement, then go outside and sit out on my patio with the wireless speakers on both sides of me. I play African Music if I'm in the mood for Animal Kingdom, Disney Park music if I'm in the mood for Magic Kingdom, World Music if I'm in an Epcot mood, and Aerosmith music if I miss Disney Studios.

If I want to pretend I'm in on the beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort, I put on some hawaiian music, then climb into my hammock.

Sometimes when i'm stressed out, I just put on some meditation music and just close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

If you try this, be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen and insect repellant.

It's very relaxing.:snore:

I miss having my family all together everyday! I miss having breakfast with my Husband every morning, riding the "Mountains" with my neices who are old enough now to ride them, shopping in The World Showcase, ending every night with fireworks then slipping into bed with my nightly crispy mouse, getting a killer sun tan (although it's summer and I live on the beach a Disney tan is magical!) hearing a cast member say "Have a magical day!", trying to figure out if I want another glass of champagne at the kiosk in France or holding out until we get to Mexico to get a margarita, riding a sea racer around for an hour and then jumping in the pool, watching my daughter's little face light up as we lunched at the Crystal Palace when she got to meet Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet then lighting up again while we watched Spectromagic! :)

I think what I miss is the fact that when you're in Walt Disney World, you can talk to strangers. Especially when you're on Disney transportation.

If I try to talk to a stranger where I live, (Chicago area) a lot of times they just give me dirty looks like you're invading their personal space.

I'm a people person, so whenever possible, I try to talk to people I don't know just to be polite or if I'm lucky, to make a new friend. At home, it's getting harder and harder because you just don't know who to trust anymore. People think I want something or I'm out to get them when I try to strike up a conversation at home...but at Disney World, it's differant. People are more relaxed and let their guard down a little and are willing to open up a little more.

And for me, that's awesome!:sohappy:

I'm from Chicago as well, and the same happens to me

Anyhow, I miss the entire feeling WDW gives me. The atmosphere, the friendliness, the whole "believe in your dreams" feeling. And someone mentioned that they felt safe in Disney, and I completely second that. WDW is 'home' to me. :)

Well I just left a camp there and for all of us campers it was each other that we miss the most. We all text each other and have face book's and stuff. We are all planning to go next year again. But other than each other we all miss the freedom of going to whatever park we wanted to without even having a counselor with us.

we miss the Welcome sign when we drive on Osceola Parkway going onto the property, then make the right turn on Victory to get to Buena Vista on our way to Saratoga Springs. We miss the lush greenery, the atmosphere of the parks, the ability to act like a kid without being judged, the smell of popcorn...I could go on for hours on what we miss. We are going back the second week of December for the christmas festivities for the first time. And my son, who will be 11months, will have his first experience. We can't wait

Its Wonderful To Share!!!!!!

Like everone here I to can go on and on about the wonderful things I miss about WDW and what it does to me and my family. I'm happy to have a site like this where I can read others feelings on this wonderful place and to know that there are others no matter your age, race, social standing that doesn't matter there. But one love that we all share and miss. And even though we cant be there all the time there is someone out there that feels the same way i do about this magical place and is not afraid to share it. And I'm more then sure that this is what Uncle Walt had intended for all of us to feel.:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

I miss the courteous cast members and world class guest service. They're still out there, but not like they were back in the good ol' days.

Honestly, when I left WDW (or the times I went to Disneyland), it's the little things I missed. Like just walking around at night with all the lights and everybody waiting in line for everything. And I miss all the things that oddly I didnt do. Like World Showcase. I didnt have time for most of it, and now i'm regretting it. I also start to miss the voice-overs they have on the bus and monorail lol.

Oh and the weather too. We had a massive blizzard the night before we left. So on Wednesday I was sitting on a chair on Blizzard Beach and I was getting text messages saying Blizzard Warning for city of Edmonton LMAO. So yeah I took a picture of the beautiful sun and sent it to everyone. Havent spoke to a few of them since lol.
