Now that all my Christmas prep is done I was wondering what is your one must buy item or must shop in store while at Disney. Gifts or for yourself. I go broke doing both. Most stuff usually bought at the Emporium or World of Disney, favorite store the Christmas shop in Liberty square. It's usually quiet and well air conditioned. Christmas and Disney vacations my favorite time of year! Now how to combine them? Dec,Jan travel not practicle next few years.

We are TDO's worst nightmare because we really don't buy much merchandise when we are there. Usually one christmas ornament and then a t-shirt for each of us. The sweatshirts are way overpriced IMO and shrink in odd ways when washed and the rest of the stuff is pretty much just more to have to dust on the shelf for us. It always drives me crazy when every item I pick up that seems remotely interesting is made in China...those go right back on the shelf.

We buy everything,and I mean,everything.From kitchenware to T- Shirts,from mugs to pins, hats to candy.This year I bought two pair of Disney lounge pants ( look like pyjamas ) and DW got a new Disney matching handbag & purse..;)Oh and a Mickey &Minnie wedding ornament. For our 25 years of togetherness.

We buy at least one Disney World ornament every year and it always has the date on it. We'll also buy the mugs at the resorts and then we usually don't buy much. Unless we get those coupons on the bottom of the receipts, then we'll spend. And I'm hoping to pick up some stuff from Art of Disney on my next trip.

DW and I are the same... it's not even an issue of money. I always set aside and bring down X amount for goods, but never end up buying anything.

I just don't like the quality, a lot of the stuff is just low grade. My 2 cents though...

edit:

I'll actually say... we enjoy mugs, pins, and vinyls. But in terms of the clothing etc, tacky.

I try to buy a Christmas item every time go to Disney and something from the shop in Japan. What I also buy is candy for every time I go to WDW.

I used to always buy a snowglobe, but that has kind of stopped. I usually wait to order all of my stuff for 50% off on the disney store online. This Christmas, I got these Authentic Disney Parks items online: a robe, sweatshirt, track jacket, monorail shirt, two ornaments (our goal is to have a complete Disney tree), and another shirt which I actually forget :p

We really don't buy anything. My son usually buys Pokemon and I might buy some post cards or Hello Kitty stuff at Mitsukoshi, but we spend very little. It's not because we're cheap, I just don't see anything worth buying.
