What do I request?

We have reservations at WL with a "wooded" view. I want a room close to transportation but with a decent view. I figured those of you who have stayed there before would know what to request and what to avoid. When requesting my room, what should I ask for?

I had this same issue when we stayed there. I was not sure what part of the hotel to stay in and having come from Coronado where the walk was ridiculous I was anticipating I would want a certain location. However, the Wilderness is surprisinly accessible. Nothing is really too far away. If I had the perfect room, it would be a room on the end of the hallway of the portion which is on the left side of the hotel (if you were standing the lobby). Here's why: the left side is where Roaring Fork is. It is very nice to have the restaurant nearby for night time refreshments and snacks and you walk past it on your way to the buses. Also, there is a door at the end of the hallway so when you come off the dock from the boat to MK, you'd be right at your room. Third, if you are at the end of hte hallway, I imagine you'd be able to see the Electric water pageant from your balcony. They pump the music inside the hotel, so you can hear it. It'd be cool to sit on your balcony at night and watch it.

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge in the lodge part last November and we had a room on the far side from transportation (on the side with Roaring Fork) but it was still very close. All we had to do was walk inside, across the lobby, down a little hall and then take the elevator to our floor.

If you want to be on the side closest to transportation, you will want to request that (I think it is an option if you do online check in to request that.) This means it will put you on the villas side with a view of either the quiet pool and/or the woods.
