What DLR does worse than WDW

The exact opposite of this thread. Basically list things that DLR has worse than WDW in one way or another. One thing I can think of is that Magic Kingdom, for the most part, has the better sibling parks (epcot, AK, and DHS) compared to what Disneyland got (DCA).

Just about everything except the parks and all they contain. DLR can't touch WDW's hotels and non-theme-park offerings.
(EDIT) Oh. And the act of NOT getting overrun with annoying AP holders and locals. DLR is very bad at that.

The transportation system. Boats and monorails from resorts. The soon to be added Skyliner. The lakes surrounded by resorts like the boardwalk and Yatch and Beach Club, or Contemporary, Grand Floridan and Poly. Disney Springs is a pretty successful renovation I'd say, while DTD in DL is currently being updated the area where the new hotel was to be is currently abandoned.

Mostly true, but I'd take Cars Land-equipped DCA over DHS or *current* Epcot.

It really depends what you're going for IMO. If you're going for rides, DCA gets the edge. If you're going for ambiance with attractions peppered in here and there, Epcot still crushes it even with a lackluster attraction lineup and needed upgrades. Especially in the evening.

Less friendly cast members, a dirtier park, Park layout is harder to navigate (lots of dead ends), general park design (MGM may be a mess but the other three have stuck to a visual theme, whereas California Adventure has not), security is a much less enjoyable experience, downtown Disney, no golf, no minigolf, no boat rentals, no Boardwalk, no water parks, far fewer dining options, far less to do overall, the castle, thunder mountain doesn't help pass kidney stones, air quality, darkness inside Space Mountain (also the ride in general), killing poor Mr Toad (lucky for them).

Agreed, although I love Cars Land so much I can combine that with BV Street and Grizzly Peak, ignore the rest, and have my second-favorite park in the world right there.

If I lived in Florida, I would love Epcot as a place to stroll, eat and relax. And I hope it can re-imagine itself into something wonderful and cohesive in the near future. Epcot in 1993, when I saw it, was amazing and inspiring.

I don't know when you went, but on my visits the CMs have been amazing. Space Mtn's ride and darkness are WONDERFUL, and Mr. Toad is possibly the most wonderful classic spook-house-style ride on the planet. Anaheim's air quality can be great, and the weather is much more pleasant than hot, humid, sticky Florida. And DL's maze-like layout is actually a test to see how well the average tourist can read a simple map. :D

Like some others, I couldn't care less about waterparks, golf, boat rentals or Disneyqu...never mind... BUT, no question about it, WDW's variety of offerings is amazing. DLR will never come close in that respect.

I've only been once but I had not great experiences with the cast members, they did not appear to like being spoken to (and I know I'm not the only one on these boards that has had the same experience). This was in October 2016. Space in Land I found to be way too bright to where I could see everything, which really kills one of the rides best aspects. But I also strongly prefer the track in Florida, but I also loved Matterhorn over there for similar reason, closest thing I think we'll ever get to Disney building something with the feel of a wooden coaster (a little rickety). And being bad at killing Mr Toad is a great thing, I really miss his ride and it was one of the first things I ran to when going to Land, that was meant to be a joke. And the weather may be better, but the air is not great in the LA area. They both have their strengths (Cars Land, Matterhorn, Indiana Jones and Haunted Mansion Holiday being my favorite things in Land).

I have never seen DISNEYLAND dirty. so would you be a good sport and indulge me on your claims of it being dirtier?

The one time I went and that was for multiple days, Disneyland park had a good amount of litter spread around walkways, overflowing trash cans, popcorn spills that were left for some time, stuff like that, but California Adventure was quite clean. But in my experience, the park was dirtier than the Florida parks are, if that was outside the norm, than I was just unlucky with my timing I guess. And I'm not saying it was Six Flags dirty.

WDW as an overall experience is better in every way than DL with exception of 6 or 7 rides , that’s it . While I would like to say the ambience at DL is better than MK, that gets cancelled out with the “no space to breathe” crowds and small space , which by the way will be even worse once SWGE comes online. Add ambiance and themes at Epcot and DAK, and the resorts, WDW wins that category too.

Less friendly cast members.
Disneyland hires young millennials while WDW hires people out of retirement homes. It's just the job pool in the area. Of course they are going to be ruder than someone's sweet grandma. That was one of the things I liked about WDW was the mature employees. They are a lot more helpful and typically have a good outlook on life in general then the millennials that just want to get rid of you.

Also you can't park right next to the theme parks like you can in WDW. It takes an hour to go to and from the park since you have to park so far away and then go through security and either walk or wait for trams.

Um... have you ever traveled to the Magic Kingdom by car?

I'd say that is a negative on both of them. I remember a giant lake I had to cross to get to the MK. Forget about park hopping at WDW. I can park hop in five minutes at DLR. WDW can take hours.
