What did they do with my Pepper Market napkins!

They changed most of the Disney napkins to plain paper. Many are now that brown, non-absorbent kind.

As long as you can wipe your hands/mouth with them, does it really matter all that much what they look like? They only end up in the bin anyway lol

It use to be part of what use to be Disney magic, and made Disney Disney; the little details, the resorts and locations theme etc. Those days are over with the Disney Parks One Disney crap. Plain napkins and standard cheap white china dinner plating etc.

Last I heard PM was operated by another company which could explain why they were using different napkins.

OK, what's a Pepper Market...never heard of it. Where is it located?

Embossing a lunch napkin is pretty much the same as embossing toilet paper. Looks nice for a while, in the meantime those incredibly ethical guests are taking handfuls of them for souvenirs costing Disney more and more every year. Not even close to being part of the magic unless your magic requirements are extremely low.

Sort of upscale counter service at Coronado. They had cloth napkins.

What happened?

What happened is that WDW has been taken over by cheapskate cynical managers determined to beat every sense of identity out of Disney Parks.

My $1.99 all-u-can-eat chicken wings down the road come with themed napkins. My $200 family meal in Disney Parks is served with unmagical generic single sheet toilet paper.

McDonald's has embossed napkins, for crying out loud!

I don't know, when I think "Disney magic," napkins just don't come to mind. No matter how unique they are. In fact, they've never even made an impact on me. Never even paid attention. :/

But I admit if this Pepper Market is supposed to be an upscale eatery, then using plain paper napkins instead of the nice cloth ones is pretty cheap

Food court at CSR. You have to wait to be seated (even when it's empty), receive a cloth napkin and have a person who brings your beverage. You pay 10% extra for these services. You may or may not wish to tip the beverages staff, as well.

You still wait in line to get your food (sometimes more than one line) and you still wait in line to pay for your stuff.

You can avoid the 10% fee/gratuity (not sure which it is yet) by eating outside, which is nice when it isn't cold, hot, windy or raining.
