What Celebrities Have You Met at WDW

I was reading the borads about the Beach Club and someone mentioned the Cape May Cafe and you know how memories pop in your head? Well I pulled a calf muscle horsing around with my kids. So we were eating at the Cape May Cafe and we were pretty much done with dinner. So I told my wife to take care of the bill and I'm going to get a head start to the lobby.

So as I get to the lobby I look over at check in and there is Howie Long who was a defensive end for the oakland Raiders and is a Fox Sports commentator. It was the week of Super Bowl XXXV in 2001. He must of been there doing something with Disney as I sat in a chair close to where he was. A Disney Guest Services Rep was talking to him and he was questioning " Are you sure the ride doesn't move around too much" She kept assurring him it was very gentle and the shoot was only a few minutes.

So my family joined me and I pointed out Howie to my wife. She's says " Go get his autograph" I replied "No way, he was a deensive end, he's nasty."

Well we ended up getting on the same elevator and we started talking. He was a really nice guy and no I didn't ask him for his autograph. I just felt funny to ask.

So what was your brush with the famous?

Back in 2004 we rode ToT right after Pink. The cast member at the photo counter as you get off the ride told us she just walked out and showed us her picture. If we had been just a few people further in line, I would have a ToT ride photo with us AND Pink! We saw her out in the park later too.

In 2007 we saw Brooke Hogan, she was escorted in to the front row of Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage at HS and then escorted out before the crowds let out.

Last fall we saw Eva Larue (CSI Miami) at Animal Kingdom. No cast members, just her and family walking around.

Most recently, we saw Dennis Rodman walking past the new Lego store at DTD.

Never met any of them, or asked for autographs or photos. Maybe I would have had I been in closer proximity to anyone. And to the person who saw Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson....I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!

I've run into a few: Montell Williams, Fred McGriff, Byron Scott, Bernie Kosar, Urban Meyer. I don't consider him famous but coming off the Maelstrom, my daughter and I ran into Big Mike from last year's American Idol competition. My brother and his family met Paula Abdul at the Grand Floridian last year as well.

In august 2009 I ran into Blake and Taylor Griffin (NBA players) about 5 times. They were really nice and I think only me and my dad knew who they were. And let em tell you they are very very tall.

My friends and I met Drew Carey in Pleasure Island when we were in WDW for the MK's 25th Anniversary. On our honeymoon, we saw members of the Brady Bunch cast doing an advanced filming for, we're assuming, the Christmas parade broadcast (they were all in Santa hats, holiday sweaters and standing in front of a section of building in DHS decorated for Christmas....in October!)

I met Harry Anderson from the comedy Night Court at the Hoop Dee Doo back in the late 80's. His table was right next to ours. A couple of us were talking during dinner. Real nice guy. We never made mention that we knew who he was since I think that is tacky.

You should have asked him to dunk over your car!
