What can I expect in June?

This will be the first time I have been to WDW in June, all my previous trips have been in Sept so I dont know what it will be like for weather, crowds etc. Coming from UK, park passes, adrs in place - will mostly be doing quick service and staying at All Star Movies 18th June - 2nd July. Any advice for me please

It will likely be more crowded than September since you'll be going when many schools start their summer break you're leaving close to Independence Day.

Weather wise I'd say its about the same as September.
HOT, HUMID, THUNDERSTORMS, and maybe a HURRICANE.

I am a weather nut. Hurricane in WDW? I can't say I'd be sad. Guess I'd have to extend my trip. Oh well.🤷‍♂️

Crowds will be higher than you're used to, as all the kids will still be out of school for their "summer break" here. I peeked at the touringplans crowd calendar and in-park crowds are estimated as moderate - averaging a 5-7 out of 10 - for the latter half of June. (In your September visits, you'll have experienced lower crowds, more like 1-3 out of 10.)

Still, you should have no trouble doing everything you want to, even if lines are a few minutes longer here and there. You might notice a slight bump in crowds on your last day, as Americans taking a "long weekend" vacation to WDW for the July 4th holiday begin to arrive. You'll also be there for the Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT (whereas in the past, your visit would have coincided with the Food & Wine Festival). Like Food & Wine, the Flower and Garden Festival features food and drink kiosks around World Showcase, but also has stunning floral displays and topiaries all around the park. It's my favorite of the EPCOT festivals for that reason.

The weather, as others said, will be quite similar to what you've experienced before. Personally, my family doesn't mind visiting during hurricane season a bit. We'd rather contend with the heat and potential rain than with the higher crowds that often predominate the rest of the year. So long as you're prepared for it (e.g., heavy-duty rain ponchos and waterproof sandals), a rainy day at Disney can be a wonderful adventure.

Ha, no hurricanes not in June.
But yes, HOT, HUMID, THUNDERSTORMS and you forgot MOBS!
And the MOBS are made worse by THE STUPID, BROKEN, GENIE + SYSTEM!!!

But I am always optimistic :), maybe they will have made tweaks to the Genie system by then, making it less a piece of garbage than it is.

Yes, I know on paper how long hurricane season is. Just saying..
You obviously weren’t at WDW in June 2012 for Tropical Storm Debby.

Or the first week of June 2013 for Tropical Storm Andrea.

While technically not hurricanes (wind speed didn’t qualify) we spent both weeks as drowned rats.

Exactly, not hurricanes. Tropical Storms. I am always thankful when they never strengthen to hurricanes.

In any event, central florida does very well in storms, except for the 100 year event that happened 2004.

@Tuvalu you are at WDW so much, odds are you are going to be there for all kinds of weather!

A good problem to have in my book :D 👍

If it ever snows at WDW odds are you will be there. :D

I expect a full report :D

December 2010 ~ No snow, probably because it was TOO COLD….wind chill was in the low teens and we froze walking around Epcot. World Showcase Lagoon had whitecaps. Taking our gloves off for the finger scan was brutal. 🤣

Yep, I’ve been there for tropical storms, tropical depressions and too many thunderstorms to count.

Record breaking heat.

A record drought that caused brush burning (we could see the fires from our hotel) and closed the interstate as we tried to head home.

Power plant outage that closed Epcot the day we planned to be there.

Gas pipeline disruption that impacted all WDW restaurants and every attraction/show that used fire (Indy comes to mind.)

Perhaps I am bad luck and need to stay home!

Nothing can keep Tuvalu from Disney! You’re like the post office (used to be)!

I'm still mad at Andrea as we had to drive west and take 81 south into South Carolina to avoid her as 95 was a mess from Florida north well past NY. We had rain all the way into NC and even though it took longer to get there we made it for SWW. Side note the skies opened up in Orlando just after we got there for a longer and heavier than normal afternoon thunderstorm

I agree with @Sirwalterraleigh on the crowds. Our last few summer trips have had moderate to lower crowds. While schools are out and it's a great time to travel with kids, a lot of people don't want to deal with Disney during the heat of summer. I remember freaking out one year because Touring Plans projected crowds for one of our summer trips to be between 7-10 each day. I don't think it ever got beyond a 4. That being said, I suspect you'll see higher crowds towards the end of your trip as the dates cross into territory around the 4th of July.

Yeah…the second week of February Or September is great…

But when one park is locked in 8-5 and two others are 9-7…the compression on the “off-season” crowds doesn’t get you anything…

…and then spend $150 on an after hours or Halloween ticket to get away from the compression of the day and pat yourself on the back all the way to bank👍🏻
