Am I reading your trip countdown correctly? My honest advice: I would use your Samsung for now since you like it, then bump this thread in three years and get more suggestions before your trip.

ok THANKS AGAIN! :) A few have mentioned to use a smartphone as my camera. Would the resolution be just as good as HD camera? I just want an inexpensive camera that will have good resolution when I am taking the Hot Air Balloon and Helicopter rides with clear pictures! I have a Samsung digital camera now and the picture isn't too bad...I may end up staying with that one. since I know how to use it pretty much! But do keep the recommendations coming!

the issue with the smartphone cameras.. are always the lenses..
you cant expect good quality or good zoom with them.. some of them might have other issues (like the purple haze in iphones and galaxy series of samsung)

Another vote for the Canon S1xx series. Under $250, I don't think you'll find a better camera. This has been discussed in other threads here. Check them out.

I am going to WDW in a few years and want to get a new camera, that is not too expensive. I have a decent Samsung Palm-held camera now but would love to buy a smaller, better quality(HD) Any suggestions and prices?

if this is something you plan on using in a few years then my first advice is don't buy it now. Prices on cameras only go down and the quality of cameras only goes up... the best you could hope to get today for $250 would likely be far inferior to what you could get with the same 250 in 2 years time... So unless you want the camera for other things now, the longer you wait the better off you will be.

This thread honestly gave me a headache. So much punctuation and capitalization!

A GoPro is a terrible idea for a primary camera. Maybe for the balloon and heli ride it would be cool but for in the parks it will be basically useless.

Like others have said why are you worried about your "Disney camera" 3+ years away from your trip? Anything you buy now will be obsolete long before your trip.

One last point. You seem to be pretty green on cameras. Your best bet is to go into a store and just try them out. Pick them up, use them, talk to the people working (assuming you go to a real camera store) and just get a general feel for what each one can do. In your case brand won't matter.
