I haven't bought bug spray in a while. We are going in Oct and thought I should throw some in. I had 2 kids ages 11 and 6 so I want something that will work but without a ton of chemicals. Thanks!

The Mosquito is the official state bird of Florida. Some of those things are as big as helicopters.
Disney runs fog trucks around the parks every morning. I remember diving into any nearby building when they came around. Yuck.
If your staying at Ft Wilderness Campground use my favorite, Deep Woods Off I've found this always works. While the Campground is sprayed daily, it's almost hopeless, because of all the standing water in the canals.
If I get a bite from a mosquito, deer fly or fire ant I simply dab on some ammonia I keep in a small travel bottle. Used right after being bitten this will cancel the ph in the histamine of the bug saliva which causes the itch and irritation - instantly. I thank my father-in-law for that one he was an old time Hospital Pharmacist.
Love Bugs are generally in season around the month of May and to a lesser degree in September. Wash them off your car ASAP!
