So what are your thoughts on BOG? We have a 5 yr old and 1 yr old, would you try for BOG or maybe somewhere else would be better for us? Hoping to get Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex and Mama Melrose but still need a couple more ideas. Any don't miss restaurants for kids and adults alike out there? 180 days out on Monday!!!:)

We did a very early dinner last month with my almost 3 and almost 2 year old. The food was very decent, especially for Magic Kingdom food and the kids actually really enjoyed being in "Beast's Castle" If you ask my 3 year old what his favorite part of the trip was he tells you eating in Beasts castle lol.

Also We did Rainforest Cafe on a previous trip and my son was petrified every time the thunderstorm happened. Haven't tried T-rex with him yet.

My girls are 6 and 4 and are begging that we return to BoG on our next trip. I am big into trying new things and we did dinner last time, so I'm thinking we're going to brave the lunch line to get in there next time. Still, they seemed to really enjoy it- so I think it's worth it for kids.

Love the food at BOG -- the meals are upscale and really tasty -- but there are plenty of options for the kids as well -- the atmosphere is terrific: your 5-year old will just love the Beast's castle (the Beast appears too, to take photos)...your 1-year old won't know the difference anyway, and you and the other adults in your party will be very happy with upscale adult food instead of theme park fare...

We had lunch there about a month ago and it was really nice. I enjoyed the cupcake and the ham sandwich the best. It would be better if you didn't have to line up it get in.

We have our reservation made for June. Aren't there 2 different areas to dine in? The beast's castle and ?? can't remember... which is best?

BOG was, in one word, phenomenal! However, children that small won't truly appreciate it. My boys have always loved Chef Mickey's. I do think a character meal would be your best bet. We've been to all except ones that are strictly just princesses and we've enjoyed all of them.

Is your 5 year old a girl? I would book something at either 1900 Park Fare for dinner, Akerhaus, or Cinderella's Castle for some princess time if so...If a boy maybe Cape May breakfast for more Mickey or Garden Grill for Chip&Dale..although the latter was not really my favorite kind of tight quarters for 5 in the booth and the food was so so. My grandkids enjoyed Biergarten with their music and dancing but they are older 7 and 6 at the time. I think all the character dining experiences are great... I do several every visit!

We took our 4 yr old daughter there for lunch in Feb and we all loved it. Wait was long to get in, but the ballroom is stunning and the QS lunch was very good. You order your food at a kiosk and then they give you a rose to take with you to your table. A couple of minutes after we sat down, they brought our food out. Our daughter loved the scenery.

Ill be the fist to admit that when the menu came out I was disappointed. Nevertheless, we got our ADRs for dinner during Christmas week and had a go at it. IMO, BOG is the total package. Good food and even better ambiance. For dinner I went Tapas and had the salad, potato leak soup and the assorted meats and sausages:

And just so I could say I had alcohol at Magic Kingdom:

Our DD (10) chose the kids steak, sorry no pic, and we shared a couple of desserts(not the best pic)

The food and mood was so good we had to come back for lunch a couple days later, DD and I each had the Croque Monsieur while the DW went with Carved Turkey Sandwich and French Onion soup:

We hit lunch around 11-11:30 2 days after Christmas and it wasn't unbearable, may be a 30ish minute wait. Again, I wasnt a fan of the place until I stepped inside. It will be a regular stop for us now as both Dinner and Lunch were great.

We ate there for Dinner Jan 2nd the last day of our trip. Loved it. The steak I had was excellent and paired well with the Chimay Blue beer. My kids 4-1/2 and 18 months enjoyed it as well. We would go back.

That sounds really good! I love to try different and good foods so this will be my kind of place.

Chef Mickey's is a great place for kids. It's so lively and you can't beat the self-help candy dispenser!
