I'm starting with Money for Nothing by Dire Straits. Its due to the guitar work only. If you appreciate great guitar playing that is one of the finest songs for that. I first heard this song back in the 1980s as a kid back when MTV actually played music videos.
The song is rightfully known for its opening guitar riff by Dire Straits lead singer and lead guitar player Mark Knopfler. The guitar work on the song is outstanding overall.
I'm talking bad about the lyrics because it has a problem like some stuff in the 1980's did in terms of not aging well. The lyrics are very dated due to stuff like "I want my MTV". The fact is most people don't want MTV as a station in 2017. Back when Money for Nothing was released, MTV well known for music videos with only one MTV channel.
