As the commercial says: "I am to excited to sleep!!"...Seems everyone plays this commercial in their head the night before...Nice job on the advertising by Disney!

We always seem to get to bed later then any other night when we are taking off for Disney, which is fine because our flights out take off always around 6:00am. Then we can sleep on the plane and then hit the parks running.

Night before, there is no packing!! We have been planning and packing for over a month, so if we dont have something, we can always buy it down there.

I always pull up some YouTube videos of the rides, the parks the night before to get "pumped". Once in awhile, the night before, we will do mickey pancakes, i know, not the same as mickey wafles, but anything to get the excitement going!

Funny that you should ask that...

Before our lastest trip to WDW in December, we spent our last night at home discovering that the sewer line from the house was backed up. The commodes would overflow and water would come up into the bath tubs and the shower.
I went out and bought bottles of drain cleaner and poured them down multiple drains- no luck.

We spend our last night at home having to drive up to the Kroger store or the gas station to use the bathroom.
The next moring we were not able to take a shower before leaving for the airport. We stopped by Kroger and used their restroom, again, and had a Starbucks coffee for breakfast.
Once we arrived at WDW and checked into our room at POR, we took a shower and then headed for the Magic Kingdom.

After our trip and we were back home, we finally got a plumber to come out. He found that a tree root had grown into the sewer line between the house and the street. Using an industrial size 'snake' machine, he cleared the root and things went back to normal.

That tree root had been growing for months, years.
It did not clog the sewer a week before our trip, or even two days before our trip.
It managed to block the sewer the very night before out trip to WDW.
What are the odds? Go figure.
Anyway, if that's the worst thing that ever happens then we are trully blessed.
We got lucky.

Funny you should ask.

Try to sleep...look at clock and calculate how many more hours 'til it's time to get up. Repeat!:ROFLOL: Seriously, no matter how many times we go down there, I'm like a little kid the night before. I even still get chills over every Disney commercial. Now, with only 4 days to go I'm planning and rethinking every day we're there!

I am in the too excited to sleep camp usually as well. I know I'm not getting any sleep the night before so I usually stay up and pack then sleep on the plane across the country. What sucks is when I'm too excited to sleep on the plane then I'm dragging the whole first day in Orlando.

I do not sleep at all the night before I leave and I get into "vacation mode" as my husband calls it. I am very restless and I go around the house organizing and making sure that everything is set for our vacation, I check and double check everything. This time it's going to suck before we leave because I have to work in the morning, and then we are leaving around 5:30. So I am going to be very jittery and unable to focus at work. :ROFLOL:

Same here, "I'm too excited to sleep!" I barely sleep at all the night before, it's like I wake up every hour until the alarm goes off and I have to get ready to leave for the airport! Can't wait for December to come!

We drive all night the night before, and we take turns driving. Before our last trip in October, I helped my sister and brother-in-law keep my niece up later than usual so she would sleep a little longer on the drive down...

We usually take a very early flight, like 6am, which means leaving for the airport at 3:30:dazzle:. Last year I changed my work hours to get to work and out of bed earlier as the week progressed, so that I`d be able to handle getting up earlier and going to bed earlier. It didn`t really help much since I was in that ``too excited to sleep``mode.

We arrived at the AS Sports, checked in and headed to Epcot as we had PS for Biergarten at about 5pm. We toured around Epcot, got a bit thirsty and so when we got to Germany we had decided to get a beer with dinner. Well, it IS going with supper so we each ordered a big beer :hammer:. What with the long flights, little sleep, hot weather, it took very little of the beer to take effect and we had to head back to the hotel earlier than we had planned for fear of not being able to find our way.

Day before, last minute packing and much excitement. We try to relax becaause we know we will always be on the go in Disney.

Night before....no sleep from excitement. (like the commercial of the kids and Dad too excited to sleep) Always take an early flight and get to parks early. Not even tired from lack of sleep.

No sleep. 4 yo daughter too excited and me of course.
Going through my mind is -
the 3 hour car journey to the airport at 4am
the 2 hour check-in wait
the 10 hour flight to MCO
the 5 hour time diference
no sleep 1st night
waking up at 5am and not being able to get back to sleep
Then it happens, its all been worth it, i'm walking down mainsreet at opening time looking at the castle and this is whats really been going through my mind, pure bliss, i am finally here and I LOVE IT!

Usually the week before the trip I try not to think about it, because I will get way to excited and not be able to sleep. I will usually go hang out with my friends to pass the time.

Lucky for me I always book the 530am flight so I don't have to wait all day to leave, that is the worst.

The night before my last vacation... it took me 4+ hours to get to sleep. I went through my carry-on bag at least 20 times making sure phone chargers, ipod, camera charger, ETC. were all there... As far as what I'm thinking about at that time the answer is Everything Disney!
My family does have a tradition to call all other family members the night before ......the conversations usually just involve a lot of Screaming and whooo-ing ! its just so very exciting :]

I'll be there in Sept too! Popular month!I'm usually a mess on the Night Before Disney. Finishing work, packing ten pairs of shoes, unpacking ten pairs of shoes, repacking a few.
Rumaging the apartment for my press credentials; giving up after ten minutes.
Drive the dogs to Day Care, pack the BlackBerry (or ill forget it in the a.m.!) and watch lots of YouTube videos!

I usually am OK a few days before the trip when we are still worrying about the logistics of the trip.(Car,tix, packing can be really stressful) but when it's the night before and all I have to do is get in the car and finally begin the journey I'm the happiest hyper-est person on the planet.:D Sleep does not exist on my vocabulary the night before!

Ahhh!Disney!
