I think I was the only person in history who like the Delta ride. Buzz is a great ride and I have to say is better than Delta, but what a great ride that was. I know what I do when I go to the Magic Kingdom is I love to go on those first few rides because I know that the rest of the day I will be waiting on long lines. I used to go on People Mover (or Transit something, whatever) and Delta as the first 2 rides every year. The one part of the ride where the air/fog blows in a circular motion at you, that was the best. Yes I know that they still have that on Buzz but does anyone even pay attention to it anymore? Also for Buzz, they totally ruined the two big movie screens! :fork: On Delta it used to make you feel like you were on an air plane. Also remember the scene in the beginning of the ride where everyone is on the farm floating around and then the next scene was the movie of the buy flipping upside down on the air plane? Okay I'm getting a bit too emotional. Maybe I just liked this ride so much because I was able to walk right on everytime but whatever. Did anyone else like this ride?

yeah, i put it first on my fave rides of the past list!(i just put Dreamflight...short for Delta Dreamflight) it was my fave as a kid! i always loved the song for it...i downloaded it once, but i'm not sure where it is anymore (long story) i too like Buzz, but i really miss Dreamflight! really, the only reason i go on Buzz every trip is to see what score i get, which usually isn't that great...i've yet to master the art of laser guns! :) but yeah, i remember most of Dreamflight. and when i was a kid, i LOVED pop-up books, so my fave part was always at the very last with the giant pop-up book!

Loved this little walk down memory lane!! I would have to say my favorites that no longer exist are Horizons... thank goodness on our visit in 92 my sister & I videotaped the entire ride and can view it whenever (even though its a little dark, we get the jist of it). Also, If You Had Wings, when it was sponsored by now-defunct Eastern Airlines, I can still remember the theme song.... (sigh). And yes, I think one of the reasons I loved it so much was you could ALWAYS walk right on to that ride, not to mention the feeling of "flying" down that long hall!

Another memory is of 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, I remember those little stairways you had to navigate to get into the sub and the little seats you sat in in front of the portholes.

And of course, Journey into Imagination, just fed my love for Figment... not to mention it had that great smelling scent throughout the entire ride which I could never place!!

Also, does anyone remember the records you could buy that had the theme music from the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean? I can remember bringing these in for show and tell in 1st grade! I know, I am aging myself!!

Ok, those are my memories...

You aren't the only one who remembers this one or who misses it. I have a few fond memories of this one...not needing any of the letter tickets to ride it, never waiting in queue, and the catchy song. My family usually saved this for one of the last things to do on our daytrips to MK, along with the WEDWay Peoplemover [now TTA].

<<sigh>>

Unfortunately, it wasn't Delta that sponsored this one. It was, the now dead and buried, Eastern Airlines.

I know what you mean. :) The ride portion of the original JII was the only place to have that scent. The closest I could come to describing it is "soapy bubblegum".

but it WAS called Delta Dreamflight, right? i'm not just imagining that am i? :veryconfu

k, scratch that....according to Birnbaum's '95, it was just called Dreamflight. it gives the desciption of the entire ride (it's lengthy, but i'd be more than happy to type it out for those who ask to see it) and at the very end says 'Presented by Delta Air Lines'. so it wasn't my imagination after all :hammer: you sure it wasn't Eastern Airlines that sponsored If You Had Wings...i don't think i ever got the chance to ride that one, and i don't remember EA ever sponsoring anything while i've been there...so maybe you just got the two confused?

It was If You Had Wings sponsored by Eastern waaay back, then Delta took over and changed it to Dreamflight. I don't know specific years, all in all, if memory serves, the 2 were fairly similar, I just think the theme songs changed.

One of my favorite memories of a trip I took this past May was my niece on Space Mountain. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! We're gonna die! We're gonna die!"
