Totally agree, Horizon's is in a class all it's own. Whenever I walked off of that ride I felt "Inspired", excited about the potential for man's future.

What other attraction can do that ??

It was one of a kind for sure. I don't ever see another attraction having so much detail or excellent a story as Horizons did.

In no particular order, because I have different favorites depending on what mood I'm in:

Horizons (EPCOT Center)
Tower of Terror (DHS)
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (IOA)
Journey to the Center of the Earth (TDS)
Spiderman (IOA)

Okay I know Horizons is an old defunct ride at Epcot that I never got the chance to ride but where is Journey to the Center of the Earth? Is it even in Florida?

For me what makes an attraction great is it's ability to immerse you in it's story, this is the basis for my top five list.

#1 Star Trek the Experience (LasVegas Hilton)

#2 Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Universal Orlando)

#3 The Adventurers Club (WDW Pleasure Island)

#4 Poseidon's Fury original version (Universal Orlando)

#5 Horizons (EPCOT Center WDW)

As much as I love Disney, not all of the best rides in the world are at Disney...

1. Soarin' - Epcot
2. Millenium Force - Cedar Point
3. Spiderman - Islands of Adventure
4. Pirates of the Caribbean - Disneyland Paris
5. Toy Story Mania - Disney's Hollywood Studios

1. Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland), but I like MK's queue and context way better
2. Haunted Mansion (MK)
3. Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye (Disneyland)
4. Splash Mountain (MK)
5. Spaceship Earth (Epcot)

Why did they ever get rid of it - I was not as into the news back when I walked into EPCOT not knowing it was gone. I literally broke down in tears. As a child I would go on that ride several times in a visit. Its actually one of my finest memories when my brother stopped it by putting his foot in the closing door and we were escorted to the beginning the the ride by walking on the catwalk right by the omnivision screen.

Now that FLE is announced Disney needs to take a hard look at EPCOT and read how we feel - Imagination on New Years Eve should not be a walk on ride - ??? We used to spend more days in EPCOT than MK when there were only 2 gates.

1) Splash Mountain (WDW)
2) Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (IOA)
3) Spiderman (IOA)
4) Tower of Terror (DHS)
5) Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye (DL)
