What are the chances at Rose & Crown?

We have ADR's at Rose & Crown for 7:30 pm. I have told them it is my birthday dinner. We are leaving on my birthday and we won't have a chance to get in a nice meal until then.

What are the chances that we will get a great seat for Illuminations there? Where should we ask to be seated? I've never dined there before, do I don't have a clue as to how it is set up inside, especially during the show. I appreciate your help!

While they *might* be able to work some magic to get you an outside table for Illuminations, they changed their policy a year or two ago and no longer allow people to wait for outside tables. Too many people were doing it, and it was messing up the flow of things. So they went strictly to a "you get what's available" rule. So it's entirely by chance that you get seated outside. But even if you're inside, they allow you to go outside to an area of the patio to watch the show.

we were celebrating my birthday there last May, and when the hostess saw my birthday pin, she asked us to wait one minute, and then seated us with an amazing view for RoE.

You will be allocated to the next available table that will seat your party. Thats the official line - no requests, no favours - no harm in asking !!!

I agree - 7:30 is too early for ROE - move it back by a minimum of 30 mins

We were wandering around World Showcase one evening trying to decide where to eat (there were four of us) and just called in at the Rose & Crown on the off chance they may be able fit us in. They told us to return in 20 minutes which we did and we got a table overlooking Illuminations-it was the best view we've ever had. Good luck or what? :D

It wasn't even a quiet night, all the other tables were taken

I think the first thing they said to us was,"Don't even ask for an outside table." And by the looks of things, I'm not sure you'd be able to dine. It seemed pretty chaotic out there.

When I made my ADR's I told the Cm that I wanted to see Illuminations and they made my reservation time so I'd be able to see it. At Rose and Crown, we ate dinner then the server took us outside about 15 minutes before Illuminations started and we sat at a table right along the waters edge. When you check in, you can ask for one, but its a first available table situation there. I went in February of this year and they were PACKED. Nobody was sitting outside cause it was a bit rainy, but when Illuminations was about to begin, everyone insidee the restaurant, was taken outside by their server.

Requests for special seating are not honored there due to overwhelming demand. It'll be the luck of the draw. You may wish to move your reservations up, though, because there will be people coming in at 6:30/7 who just sit there long after their meal is done.

It is just luck. You cannot reserve the outside, and the dine people are not allowed to request it for obvious reasons. (Everyone has the same request). Get there early and if your lucky enough to get a good viewing table, eat slow is the best advice I can give you.
