they can be weird traditions like...me and my dad always do something called "savor the moment" where usually at the beginning of our trip, we say that, or at other cool times, and when we are back home, we wish we were back at those moments.

or normal, like when we go there, it is usually in the afternoon and we go to epcot and the first ride we go on is spaceship earth to jumpstart our vacation.:animwink:

We must ride the TTA, Park Hop from MK to Epcot on the Monorail, and eat at the California Grill. The list of traditions goes on forever, but those are just a few. Oops forgot to mention that we must start our vacation with a ride on PotC.

I have to go to Magic Kingdom FIRST...it's a must.

Then usually I go up through Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and so on and so forth.

I get a Disney pin for every new ride that I ride, and every new hotel that I stay at (last year Saratoga Springs, Soarin' and Expedition Everest).

And for whatever reason, we must ALWAYS listen to the song "Red Dragon Tattoo" on the way to WDW, as well as Disney music...but Red Drago Tattoo reminds everyone of my family of WDW because we listened to it on the way down there once.

My family used to watch National Lampoon's Vacation before every trip to Disney before we all piled into our very own wagon queen family truckster and drove down to WDW and whenever we get to one of the WDW parking lots, no matter what time of day it is or how many cars are ahead of us, its always "First one's here" followed by a mad dash to the entrance.

Whenever we get to the part of northern Florida where you cross over the Suanee River my parents always sing the Suanee River song. Even if they aren't in the car together. On the last trip we took two cars and my mother in one car called my dad in the other car just so they could sing the song together.
Our family tradition used to be spending Thanksgiving at WDW but it got too crowded, family grew too large, and got too expensive to do that every year.
We like to have a late dinner at the Rose&Crown on epcot day in order to get a good viewing area for Illuminations. Always eat a mid-late afternoon lunch at the Crystal Palace with Pooh on MK days.
Also I wouldn't call this last thing a tradition, only happened 3 times but it is now a long running joke in my family. 3 times in WDW parking lots my dad has managed to run over a traffic cone. The first two times it was while driving into the parking lot in the morning. The last time was just a few weeks ago. He ran out to the car at MK in the late afternoon to grab our coats and sweatshirts and because it was later in the afternoon the parking lot was a little less crowded, he decided to move the car a few spaces closer and somehow managed to hit a cone yet again. Only this time he got it so stuck under the car he had to jack the car up in the middle of the parking lot to get it unstuck.

We always get our picture taken beside the small Donald Duck gold trophy-esque figure, where the Walt and Mickey are.
We then find Donald for my sons to get pictures. By the way, both of my boy's first words were mommy, daddy then Donald, true story

We have to ride Splash Mountain at night and make it coincide with Spectromagic parading through Frontierland ... with just enough time to run off and catch the end.

We always do the parks in the same order.. Epcot, AK, MGM, MK, and we always ride the haunted mansion first at the magic kingdom.

Since we arrive about Lunch Time, we always head to EPCOT for Lunch and future world, go back to the hotel and check in, then head back to EPCOt for dinner, World Showcase and Illuminations. Then our first full day is always the Magic Kingdom and we must take the Ferry across:sohappy:

127 days and I am there :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Our tradition with our kids is to go on SE before we do anything else. It's a must. My little secret tradition is to get to go to Disney every year for my birthday... so far so good!!! :D

After checking in to the hotel we always head straight for Epcot and the Land pavillion for lunch. As soon as we have the routeseari chicken (sorry about the spelling) we know we are at Disney.

Hehe, yeah but the memories are worth all of those tears over the bill ;)

It's also my tradition to do MK the first day...as long as it's a night that they have Spectromagic, because it is my favorite part of WDW. I also have a tradition w/ that (Spectro)...I always get my french fries from Casey's (don't know what kind of pixie dust they season those things w/ but they are THE best!) to eat during the parade :slurp:
