Just be careful around armadillos, they can carry leprosy in their nails. So you don't want to pick one up
I was going to say that as well. Armadillos are the only creature, other than humans, to carry leprosy. It is best to stay clear of them.

Sitting on the patio of our back of the Poly room watching the sunrise and monorails pass by (lovely with music the resort slowly waking up!). Saw a littlle mammal pass by, but couldn’t tell what it was! Still too dark. Not a rabbit because it wasn’t hopping. It looked like a little pig! I then heard a sort of squealing sound where it went in the bushes, but that could have been a bird.

What was it?
Probably an alien but don't worry. If it meant you any harm, it would probably have eaten you already.

UPDATE: I think it was a cat. This morning we saw a cat come down the path and go into the same place in the bushes. Had the same colorings I could sort of see. And it looked pregnant.

A stray cat is always possible, but I'm guessing an opossum or a nutria (beaver/beaverlike). Basically alligator food. whomp whomp.
