what airlines will honor the disney bus

how stupid to not include JetBlue...they outdo all of those airlines easily...I agree with AEfx...I wouldn't even consider flying with those other crappy airlines just so they can pick up my bags that I'm sure they lost and sent to Seattle, anyway.

Depends on what airlines you refer to as "crappy". United/Ted have been excellent for us as well as other people. We've used them for almost every trip to Disney. The only thing that we hate is they don't assign us seats as soon as we purchase the tickets. We have to wait at least 24 hours before our flight in order to pick our seats (using the online method). The reps do try really hard to get us what we want though by constantly updating us with information via phone and email.

I'm referring to the airlines that charge $400 for flights you can get through JetBlue for $240 and get your own tv, nicer seats, more legroom, newer planes, far more friendly staff (I have never encountered a mean staff member at JetBlue), a higher incidence of not only having flights land on-time, but ahead of schedule, the first airline w/ bullet-proof cockpit doors and surveillance cameras, and more, all of which make the other over-priced airlines a joke. There is a reason when most people switch to JetBlue, they don't switch back.

That's certainly some impressive features. Unfortunately for us, JetBlue does not fly to Orlando from Washington-Dulles as a one way stop. Maybe if they increased their destinations from IAD we would consider it one time.

I know for United that some of those things such as the friendly staff and on time or ahead of schedule we experience as well. While we take advantage of the mileage plus credit card program, we get pretty low ticket rates since we normally fly during non hectic, weekday times.

Whatever makes the customer happy though.

Never had any problems with Continental. There planes are fairly new and there is a great service and the flight attendants and ground staff are always very friendly and always seem to do what they can, i have never come accross an unfriendly Continental Airlines member of staff. At least in my experience. CO are also very good for flights being on time and ahead of schedule.

In reply to MKCustodial it does seem that it is only domestic flights that are included with the program at the moment. I dont know if disney will go into partnership with international carriers at the moment. It would i suppose depend on the number of foreigners coming into MCO that go to Disney. It would make sense that if there is to be a partnership with international airlines it will be those operating to Canada, Mexico and South America.

Im not sure if Disney would go into partnership with any other airlines after that as the next largest group of foreigners that come to Disney hotels are us Brits. The thing is though that by far the vast majority of Brits coming to WDW fly into Sanford. The only two British airlines flying into MCO are British HAH! (English/London) Airways  and Virgin who have their own shuttle and check-in service. I dont think that the numbers on other international airlines would be worth the while of added work needed.

Im just hoping that those coming to the states the way we are: glasgow-newark and newark-orlando and back that same way can use this service. i dont think there should be a problem but if anyone can clear it up that would be great. if not its a call to disney.

From what I understand, at this point, only domestic flights will have this perk, correct? The international flights aren't affected?

Disney's Magical Express service makes guests' visits to OIA hassle-free as well. This system lets guests flying with participating airlines avoid airport check-in lines by enabling passengers on domestic flights to check their luggage and receive a boarding pass before ever departing their Disney hotel. Also guests with flight departures later in the day no longer have to worry about their luggage after they check out of their hotel. You can check your luggage at the Resort Airline Check-in Desk and then enjoy the last day of their stay. Airline partners including: American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Song, United Airlines and Ted.
I personally Love Song, Never had a problem and they make flying fun, espicially with the inflight entertainment system! :sohappy:

FYI just so everyone knows and this was in the Disney Press release as well, the Magical Express buses are owned and operated in a joint venture with Mears, the same way the Disney Cruise Line Buses operate. So basically they are driven by Mears and just have Disney painting on the outside and hopefully smell better too, lol, just joking.

As far as I know, the majority of Brazilians flying to Orlando land in Miami first, then either fly to MCO or go by bus (in the case of the very large tour groups).

Since a bit before 9/11, the number of Brazilian guests had already dropped considerably if compared to the mid-90's. But Disney seems to want to reach out to its International Guests as well with this new campaign, so maybe we'll start seeing WDW ads on the Disney Channel and on DVD and VHS movies down here, and that may help push the numbers back up.

IST, although I whole-heartedly agree, you forgot the best part :

THE BLUE CHIPS!

Never had something so tasty look so repulsive. :) They are delicious.

I'm going to Orlando on Sunday, flying out from Boston, and I'm paying $49 each way - and I just booked last week. Jet Blue is cool. :)
