What’s next for Animal Kingdom?

While I would love an IP free animal land based on Australia I think that would be a long shot today.

I could envision a hybrid land like "South America" which does feature some animals but could have (say) an Indiana Jones ride in an Inca temple or attractions centered around Up (Paradise falls) or Emperor's New Groove (something with llamas?).

An Australia area could have a tie in with Rescuers Down Under, but I think even Disney itself has forgotten that movie exists. Not that Emperor's New Groove has a major fan base either.

I feel like Emperor is at least a bit better know. It had a sequel and a TV show and is much more recent.

Also Rescuers isn't really an Australian franchise - it just happened to go to Australia (though Rescuers works well for DAK). The better option for Australia is probably Finding Nemo.

A south American area like the lost river delta in tds with some added animal exhibits would fit animal kingdom well. if you replaced the coaster with an up ride or even add the three cabaleros in some sort of Amazon boat ride it would be a great addition to the park

Am I the only one who doesn't think Moana fits in Animal Kingdom? I think it mainly stems from the fact that most of the characters are human. It'd be like putting Aladdin in Animal Kingdom because there's a monkey, a tiger and a parrot.

As much as I would love to see Dinorama side of Dino land change into something more immersive...I doubt any thing can be done until covid crap goes away...and things get back to “normal”...whatever that is

I also think Disney broke things that were fine, ok the Bird show was decent...so it had a troop leader that acted corny...but it was far and above the UP things they went into.

I had high hopes for a killer nighttime show, but Rivers Of Light never seemed to be on point. I’m hoping there’s something being planned as I type...mainly because AK is our favorite park.

I want Chip n Dale to have a larger presence in DAK. Rescue rangers IP, the leveraging of the Nat Geo IP to make them brand ambassadors. Isn't there a movie in the works? Chip n Dale deserve an attraction.

Despite the name, DAK is about man’s interactions with nature in general not just animals. Moana had strong themes about the oceans and how people interacted and “conquered” them. A proper story treatment would fit well into DAK.
