Wet areas in the parks

Our family is going down the 15th of August, I know it's going to be scorching so I'm already prepared for my kids (ages 12, 5, 4 and 2) to jump at the opportunity to get wet at any chance they get. I know that there is Donalds boat, Ariel's Grotto and Splash Mountain in MK, the one ride in AK and the fountain in Futureworld in Epcot. Can anybody tell me about any other opportunities for the children to cool down? My 4 year old hates when his clothes get wet so I thought about just putting swim trunks on the young boys everyday and just changing them when they are done playing in the water. But it would be kinda silly for me to do that if they are no areas for them to get wet in. Thanks for any advice.:)

At DHS there is the Singing in the Rain umbrella in the backlot (which I assume it still working, I haven't tried it in a few months though) and the tram near the entrance of the Backlot Tour also sprays water/mist.

There are a couple of spots in Adventureland. At the center of the Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a camel that "spits" on you. If you can get past the idea that the water is representative of camel spit, it's pretty nice when it's hot. Also, if memory serves me correctly, there are some fountain type things around the area of the Jungle Cruise or Swiss Family Tree House. Does anyone else remember anything like that?

Also, if you're just wanting a place to cool down, there are several different options. In MK, all the shops on Main Street are connected and air conditioned very well (for that matter, most anyshop has good AC - just a bonus that the ones on Main Street are all connected. Also, you can try going on rides like It's A Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean. They're a nice place to cool off in the heat of the day.

Outside the parks Downtown Disney's World of Disney store has a giant model of stitch that spits water every few seconds, there's usually a small mob of children there at busy times.

In Epcot, there is one of those where the water squirts out of the ground right at the edge of Future World - heading into the countries. Imagination is on the right after you walk past the big fountain. There are a bunch of little kiosks (one of which sells towels) followed by this water thing. We spent 45 minutes in it this past trip - my DD loves it!

Also, over by Test Track there is a coke stand that has a mist that blows out of the car and from above it!

In MK there is a small water feature in the old 20,000 Leagues area, it's a Pooh's Playground. Also at DTD, there is a large water feature kinda outside the Christmas shop. When u come off the busses, you pass it going into Marketplace.

AK has a spot outside of Kali. It spits water up from the ground and out of a wall. There is also this funky fountain there that you could put your arms and maybe head in for a quick cool down.

Pooh's spot and Donald's boat are great for a cool down. And I remember there being a spot at EPCOT near the giant dancing fountain. The DTD spot near the "Earl" was DS's favorite though.

What I did on last trip was bring 1 change of clothes for DS. I'd let him get wet, dry off a bit then change him. This coming trip, I'm not bothering. He's 4 1/2 and out of diapers. I figure if he gets a bit wet, he'll dry quick. I will continue to bring a change of clothes for the baby (17 months) though.

PS I also bring their sandals with me so that if they are going to play in some water their sneakers and socks won't get wet.

Epcot near MouseGear on the Mission:Space side there are misters/squirters, and also on the bridge from FW to WS. Also leaping water in front of JII.

Use caution when getting the kids wet, however. Don't let them get water from the Future World Fountain or the boat rides (like Spash) in their mouths or eyes/ears, etc. Also wet clothes (especially socks and pants crotch - especially if cotton) + lots of walking = chafing big time.
