I saw this earlier.... ouch is all I gotta say. Truly saddening.

But man oh man, did Disney really create a concept map for the area including land they don't own? Kinda ballsy.

I'm kinda glad WestCOT didn't happen to be honest. IMO Epcot is a concept that was and should be unique to WDW - it's the center of WDW history, the reason Walt went and bought 44 square miles on the other side of the country (in Florida), and that the theme park exists today. To me trying to create an "improved" version of it next door to Disneyland just cheapens the original, and what makes WDW so special.

I would have loved to see the rest of the proposed resort, though!

WESTcot was never touted as an improved EPCOT. More a variation on a theme.

While I love and can't get enough of Epcot, I like wdw having a one of a kind park that sets it apart from eveyone else. Same thing goes for DAK.

This would have been an awesome project if it had happened, and wouldn't have cheapened Epcot at all. Although, would a 300-foot tall gold sphere really look that good?

Very glad WESTCot was never built. Keeps EPCOT original, and unique.

Also...A EPCOT Style park that would have been build to be already dumbed down?:lookaroun Yeeesh.:lookaroun:lol:

Totally agree, I love the placement of all the hotels and how the parking structure is placed way in the back, rather than how it is now. Heres hoping one day the lot behind the Paradise Pier Hotel is used the ways its concept is shown.

Anyone else notice the monorail looks a like the new Mark VII's.
