We're Having A Heat Wave!

My dh in June heat by 10 am (only dh is a little more middle ageish)

Heat never really bothers me that much, unless the back of my neck is as red as a tomato. Then the sun hurts pretty bad. If that happens I just spray some sun screen on it and the pain goes away!

I carry a wet wash rag w/ me around my neck. I use it to wipe my "sweat".
I drink LOTS of water and take frequent breaks inside somewhere.
We do the parks early (lots of sunscreen) and chill at the pool in the afternoon then go back at night when it's cooler. June isn't so bad, but July and August can be brutal! Still, I can manage the heat as long as I'm in WDW.

I have lived in Miami my whole life so the heat doesn't bother me the way it does others. They don't call it the sunshine state for nothing.

Agreed. A break during the hottest part of the day helps. AC, an adult beverage, and maybe a little nap charges the batteries.

DW and I were down in July of this year... it wasn't all that bad. Tried to wear wicking socks, keep hydrated, maybe some water on the face and neck here and there. If anything I got a little sick from sweating (and being wet) then standing in an air conditioned queue for a while.

My family goes in June not much choice with school and work! Besides my boys both tall and small love SWW. The heat doesn't bother me and one ds but the other and my dh just melt. How do you beat the heat.

I don't go in summer to wdw.
But, my fave cooling item is the cooling bandana. It's a neckerchief, basically, that has gel crystals inside. You soak it in cool water, it holds the cool at the base of your neck, which cools your entire body.
If that doesn't work, Hammacher schlemmer makes the same thing, for a ton more money, in the form of a collar that actually uses ac on that same spot.
EDIT: sharper image has them. it makes you feel like you are in ac, even in the hottest temperature.
