I've read that Shrek is going under a two-week trial period with no Express passes of any kind permitted, to see if the lines will become shorter (because very few people who wait in stand-by get in at a time, because Express users, Express Plus users, and hotel guests get in first, and because of the theater's small capacity, this generates long lines).

You can find out info on any property in the county at this site

Also, there was talk a few years back of Universal moving Wet N Wild to some of the vacant land by the Royal Pacific hotel. Now that Universal has sold the Lockheed land, I could see this happening eventually.

Good idea, the lines there are reported so long its as if it only just opened, bad planning on Universal's part for the size of the theatre here.

yup... it's pretty quick. First one I did single riders, second time I used the express pass plus. Standy showed to be about 60 minuts

Shrek 4-D will not distribute Universal Express passes during the summer. This includes the Express Plus Passes. But, resort guests still get FOTL access as long as they ask the attendent. Meaning, there are no Shrek 4-D express line signs, so you must ask but they will show you a way to get on.

Hope this helps.

I bought an Express Plus last Sunday, and at the top it says "NOT VALID AT SHREK 4D." I did notice people going into what was the former Express entrance, so I guess they were hotel guests. I think if normal guests can't get it (or even the ones who shell out $37 bucks for a Plus pass), no one should get it. Wait times were still 60-75 minutes though, with an extended queue being used.

Over at the Neutron/former Shrek Express area, all Shrek signs were taken down and replaced with more Neutron signs. I'll post a picture later.
