Since I took this photo this morning, they've added stanchions and ropes, so this is gonna be the spot.

How Many actual Meet and Greets and Character Dining spots are there in the MK? I know this is not a new M&G but it is just moving locations and adding characters. I'm glad guests enjoy M&G, but I feel like there are too many M&G already. Pretty soon there will be more M&G then actual attractions. I wish WDWs MK had as many rides as Disneyland does. After saying that I think this move will make the New fantasyland an even more exciting place to spend time for guests.

Does having a lot of M&G add a lot to the MK's actual Attendance Capacity?
There's actually less Character Dining locations than there used to be in MK.

I count seven major M&G's at Magic Kingdom Park now; Town Square Theater Mickey, Town Square Theater Princesses, Tinker Bell's Magical Nook, Fairytale Gardens, Pete's Silly Sideshow, Ariel's Grotto, Enchanted Tales with Belle. And there are 25 rides at Magic Kingdom Park, plus 9 continuously-running theaters or walk-throughs that are not M&G's. For a total of 34 Attractions and 7 M&G's in Magic Kingdom Park.

Using your Disneyland comparison you mentioned, there are also seven major M&G's at Disneyland Park now; Meet Mickey Movie Barn, Meet Minnie's House, Princess Tiana Court of Angels, Pixie Hollow, Princess Fantasy Faire, Pooh & Friends Thotful Spot, Merida's Highland Games. And there are 35 rides at Disneyland Park, plus 11 continuously-running theaters or walk-throughs that are not M&G's. For a total of 46 Attractions and 7 M&G's in Disneyland Park.

It wouldn't be possible for the M&G's to outnumber the attractions in either park. And it also doesn't appear as though Magic Kingdom Park will ever surpass Disneyland on the number of rides it has, especially in Fantasyland. Even after the Mine Train and Fairytale Hall opens next year and New Fantasyland is finally completed.

Magic Kingdom Fantasyland (plus old Toontown) Circa 2014 - 11 Attractions and 5 Meet & Greets
9 Rides (1 E Ticket, 2 D Tickets, 3 C Tickets, 3 B Tickets)
1 Theater & 1 Playground/Walkthrough (Mickey's Philharmagic, Casey Jr. Soak Zone)
5 Meet & Greets (Fairytale Gardens, Fairytale Hall, Ariel's Grotto, Pete's Silly Sideshow, Enchanted Tales with Belle)

Disneyland Fantasyland/Toontown Circa 2013 - 17 Attractions and 4 Meet & Greets
14 Rides (2 E Tickets, 1 D Ticket, 8 C Tickets, 3 B Tickets)
2 Playgrounds & 1 Walkthrough (Goofy's Playhouse, Donald's Boat, Castle Tour Walkthrough)
4 Meet & Greets (Pixie Hollow, Fantasy Faire, Mickey's Movie Barn, Minnie's House)

Wow, thank you !
This was the best response to any question that I have ever asked here.

The part about M&G overtaking Attractions was just a joke by the way, I was just saying that I thought there were to many M&G already in the Parks.

Is no one else worried about this? knowing how TDO likes to operate I could see this being a permanent solution

Well, they could create a M&G space out of some of the former bathroom area while still using other parks to expand/enhance the queue for PPF. I actually think having Pan and Wendy meet folks right next to the ride makes sense compared to Pan being in Adventureland.

I'd love to see them alternative with Hook and Smee.

No I see them using what is their now as a permanent solution no extensive meet and greet just the retired bathroom areas.

I'd hardly call Enchanted Tales a M&G since only a select few actually get to Meet them (for a very brief period of time after the show).

Give the people what they want. Judging by wait times, I'd say people want meet and greets. I don't care for them either but they're enormously popular.

Valid point. But you've got to call it something, and it's not really a theater show, and it's not a ride, and most people consider it a thing where you go to "meet" or at least see Belle.

I have not yet done Enchanted Tales myself, and I don't know that I ever will take the time to do it, but something tells me Disney won't be doing more of these types of very low capacity, yet highly involved concepts again.

Now... can you imagine if Rasulo had stuck around for another year or two and almost ALL of New Fantasyland was these types of Princess meeting things?
