I wonder how many bloggers are 'enjoying' the hell of a day like this to bring photos and reports to their followers ... wonder how many will wait two hours for an Omnimover or 90 minutes for a spinner ...

Like I previously mentioned, Islands of Adventure was also insane yesterday. To the point where you couldn't walk in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey's queue wrapped through the walking area of Jurassic Park and into the backstage areas of WWoHP/Jurassic Park. All of the parks seemed to be completely jammed.

Just a bit of advice.

Disney World is busy at Christmas time, in fact, its the busiest day of the year.

Even though some think Disney World is turning into a slum, its still busy.

Jimmy Thick- Hope it helps.
A slum? Who claims that Walt Disney World is a slum?

Nobody goes to DisneyWorld anymore. It's too crowded.

I think I'd rather be in a 2-hour line at Epcot than sitting here at work with nothing to do.

Same here! At least at the end of that 2 hour wait you have an attraction waiting for you as opposed to going home at the end of the work day to laundry and cleaning up left-over Christmas mess as will be my situation when I get home today!!

We were just talking about this yesterday. As odd as it sounds, we, as a family, would love to be at the "World" just once from 12/24 to 1/2 with the understanding that we are there for the experience as much or more than the attractions. Kind of like witnesses, sorta.

We went to Hollywood Studios yesterday on Christmas Day (only in the late afternoon and evening) and had a great time. The crowd wasn't so bad. Okay, we didn't try to do Toy Story Mania or Tower of Terror as we were mainly there for dinner, but the crowds weren't as bad as I expected.

We were able to do Star Tours on FP- (stand-by time was 40 minutes when we walked by), we did the Comedy Warehouse twice (Premier Theater was only about 50% full, so no waiting required), and we did Muppet Vision with only a 10 minute wait.

We had a reservation for Hollywood & Vine, but I overheard a CM telling a family without a reservation that the wait was about 40 minutes, which I thought wasn't so bad on Christmas Day at 7pm. Streets of America was pretty crowded at night for the Spectacle of Lights, but plenty of space to walk around.

"Sounds Dangerous" was on the map as "ABC Sound Studio - operates seasonally", and there was a screen inside showing Mickey's Christmas Carol over and over all day. There were only about 20 people in the theater when we watched it. I thought this was very nice, and I wish they would always keep this building open and show classic cartoons.

We were there 12/17-12/24 (returned Christmas Eve) and were amazed how dead it was!! Noticed crowds 10:00 A.M. thru about 8:00 P.M. Sunday the 23rd, but that was about it!! Most days crowds were light! It was as cold as I can remember Thursday and Friday of last week!!

It can be done and enjoyed. I have many times, including both the fake Milennium over 12/31/99 and the real one a year later. ... You just have to be realistic. Crowds are gonna be insane and you can't think 'I'll go to the MK at 1 p.m. and ride whatever I want.'' ... If you take the visit slow and see the entertainment and the attractions that never have waits like HoP or the amazing animal exhibits at DAK, then you can have a great time. But if you insist on riding Splash Mountain or Peter Pan's Flight no matter what, then you'll likely not enjoy yourself.

I've actually been toying with the idea of going back up next week just to do NYE at TPFKaTD-MGMS as while I've done EPCOT and MK many times, I've never done the Studios for NYE and they're open until 3 a.m. with EMHs! I am pretty sure I won't, since I'm not fond of the crowds, but who knows?

Sounds like a great night! ... And proof that WDW can be done this week if it is done smartly!
