Wow...only 2 weeks. That kinda stinks. :( I know you're seasonal, but how do you get to do that again? Explain the process to me. And how did you get started doing it?

Two weeks is better than NO weeks. ;) Disney is being very nice about this whole thing and just letting me work for a short time this year; I worked for the whole summer two years ago, and for about 6 weeks last summer. I applied through Casting in the summer of 2005, and was just in the right place at the right time. I actually teach elementary school up here in the frozen north for the other 10 months of the year, and my (very patient) husband humors me and lets me work in the summer (yep, he visits). ;)

so you just applied with Casting? Did you do it online or in person?

I knew you'd been working there in the summers...I just always wondered how you managed to do it. How you actually got started.

I'm up in the frozen north too. Are you upstate NY or Northern NY?

I have always wanted to work at Disney, and my husband just said to go for it! I found a place to live, bought a plane ticket, rented a car , made an appointment with Casting, and the rest is history.

I had to save up money in advance to finance the trip - by the end of the summer, I still don't think I had broken even. :ROFLOL:
