I'm from England (In Montréal) and that's a bloody luxury! The other day we had -25C with Wind Chill! (It will be soooo warm in England when I go back for Christmas!)

Sorry to hear about the thefts mais je t'embrasse! (I hug you!) for being excellent foster parents - I hope that I will end up doing that eventually (I can't have kids of my own  ), England needs more of them!

Are you actually from England (UK)? I am a little confused by your message, as there are bits of French in there. Where are you now, and which England?

Sorry to hear about the scumbags attacking your property. Make sure the insurance company do not stiff you (as we all know they will try to).

I've been the victim of a burglary when we went to America for my Sister's wedding. Fortunately now we only have the good memories of the wedding and the burglary has faded away. I hope the same will be true for you

Good luck on relocating. Are you looking to stay in Yorkshire or upsticks and head off elsehwere?
I am sorry to hear that you have also been the victim of burglary, but am encouraged by the fact that you are getting over it.
The thing that I find hardest, is the fact that it has to have been at least one of our neighbours. We have never complained about the noise and mess they make. (They must work in a scrap yard. Old wrecks turn up, are here for a few weeks, then they disappear, only to be replaced by more junk!)
The music - if you can call it that - blares out.

We have been here about a year, and have always kept ourselves to ourselves.
We are usually surrounded by base ball hat wearing boy racers, revving their engines. The music must have shaken out their brains, because thye have that look and sound about them. You know, the shoulders down, and every response seems to be "uugghhhhhh"

Anyway, in answer to your question, we are looking to move back to Lincolnshire, where most of our friends and family are. We only moved to South Yorkshire (Sheffield) because of the jobs we had at the time. We moved to Mexborough because we needed a bigger house to be able to foster, and this is what we could afford at the time. Now we know why it was so cheap! It's like Beirut.

On a more positive note, I just realised that the 13th December was the 1st anniversary of our being approved as foster carers.
The two children that we have now, are our first placement, and will have been with us a year on 23rd January. They are fantastic kids, and have come a long way in that time. Sadly for us, we expect them to have gone to adoptive parents in London by the middle of February. They don't know this yet. Our job is preparing them for it, and making the move as painless as possible for them.

Hey ho! I am getting all sad now, so I better shut up!
