Ok,I need this verified, calling Master Yoda. Or does anyone else know this. One couple at my Disney party last night was at POFQ last year. This was their fourth vacation to Florida. They stayed at POFQ in 2009,but stayed off site in 2010 & 2011,but last year went back to FQ.When they were booking in at the concierge, the CM said " Welcome home folks,it's been too long since we saw you last." They were flabbergasted, and so am I. Does Disney have a log on their computers of your past stays at their resorts.? They are sure the CM didn't recognise them from 2009 so what's the magic connection here.? ;)

Every year I call to make my bounce back reservation, Disney knows everyone I've traveled with each year we've gone, their ages and addresses so, yes, it doesn't surprise me one bit. They also know people in separate rooms that have traveled with us in past years and will ask me if they will be traveling with us for this reservation. Consider them your Disney Big Brother...LOL! ;)

I used to go so much that even when everything was in my friend's name...and she'd never been there - no way to tie her to me...the staff at the Poly recognized me and called me by name.

That's when I decided I had spent too much time at the Poly, lol.

I despise it when they say, "Welcome home." It isn't home. It's so dumb.

Come on,lighten up.I can understand what you mean when you say " it isn't home " Some folk think it might be a bit cheesy. I remember going to a restaurant in Scotland years ago that was getting rave reviews. On the front of the menu it said, and I quote.." They are two great places to enjoy your food.Your house & ours.Tonight,Welcome to ours." A bit over the top,but the meal was delicious ;)

When we booked last year for our 2013 they did say welcome home over the phone. I kind of like it. At the hotel I work at I can look up a guests last name and it will show me for the past year there past reservations but nothing past that, believe me the system is a fraction of a fraction of the system Disney has.

It also appears that "Welcome Home!" has been added as a general greeting at resorts.
I like "welcome home" after all, it is my home away from home!

I can't get used to this for some reason. It sounds like they're trying too hard. A bit over the top for me. No matter how many times I've heard it I still cringe every time a bus pulls in at my HOTEL !!
