Weekend crowds vs Weekday crowds at Disney

Is there much difference? I know weekends are generally expected to be a bit busier, but will it be more busy to the point where a Weekday visit is more advisable, or will it really not make much difference?

Weekdays are IMHO better. A lot depends on wether theres an event going on too. I've found weekends typically are busier because of the locals arriving, but even more so when theres an event planned. Food & Wine, Flower & Garden, you can count on weekends to be exceptionally more busier.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Weekends a lot of locals come in so yes weekends tend to be always busier than the weekdays. We go on the weekends regardless but yes they can definately be more crowded at all parks and at Disney Springs. :)

Not only are weekends busier (in ranking crowds on a scale from 1-10, weekend crowds are typically 2-4 ticks higher), but as a PP mentioned, holiday weekends can show a dramatic rise. (Case in point: on our upcoming trip in November during the week prior to Thanksgiving week, we anticipate crowds of about 5-6 on the first weekend, 2-4 from Monday to Friday, and than a dramatic rise to 8 for the weekend we're leaving, as the Thanksgiving week crowds begin rolling in.)
