Done. I think we can all relate.I'd say Friday. Sorry, Ive been jam pacled.
Have fun in Orlando!Just for future reference for @Zweiland and the contest. I am pretty open this week but the 8th-16th i will be in Orlando so I will have virtually no time for this. After that i should be okay schedule wise. Just wanted to give you the heads up for scheduling purposes.
I am very sorry, everyone. I love participating in Imagineering contests, but I completely underestimated the amount of time and planning that goes in to hosting one. I have a newfound respect for everyone who has hosted a competition in the past (especially @MonorailRed -- 30 challenges in 30 days seems practically impossible).Let me just say a couple things...
1) It's getting a little crazy. It has been 2 and a half weeks since the last challenge due date. I completely understand that you guys are busy but you've kinda left us hanging for the past 18 days.
2)You maybe should have thought about business before you started the comp.
I don't mean to offend you, @Zweiland or @Matt7187 but I just want this amazing and creative challenge to move forward. Also, don't feel pressured to make a really long critique and challenge. Maybe something a little smaller so the competition can possibly move forward. These are just my thoughts though.
P.S. : Happy Saint Patrick's Day.
No offense taken.I don't mean to offend you
The past few challenges have been our idea of "smaller" ones. I get your point, though. Also, don't feel pressured to make a really long critique and challenge. Maybe something a little smaller so the competition can possibly move forward.
The same to you! As you can see by my avatar, I'm celebrating.Happy Saint Patrick's Day.
If you want I am free right now and would be more than happy to finish the contest for you. I understand how school can be.I am very sorry, everyone. I had also underestimated how insanely busy I was going to be these past couple of months. Projects and deadlines kept coming up that I had not foreseen. Looking back, I probably should not have signed up as a host of this contest.
I'll try my best to keep it going, but I'm wondering if anyone would like to help. We desperately need an extra set of hands. If anyone wants to suggest someone who could be of assistance, that would be wonderful. If not, I'm afraid this competition will probably have to be put on hiatus until a less busy time of year.
Three more things:
No offense taken.

Thank you, that would be great. @Matt7187 hasn't said anything about leaving the contest, even though he hasn't posted for a while. So you would still be paired up with him.If you want I am free right now and would be more than happy to finish the contest for you. I understand how school can be.
That is correct. This was first and foremost Matt's idea, so he would want to have some say such a major change of the rules. The way we did it was one person would post the challenge in a PM before posting on the contest thread, and the other person would edit it as necessary. If I remember correctly, he came up with this competition and inquired about it first, and Zweiland revealed he was pondering a similar idea so they collaborated. Even if he isn't around, you shouldn't go on without him.
Look I was just trying to add some more order, I'm not trying to turn this into my competition. The main point of these is to finish projects by a due date, while extensions make sense if there are strong reasons for one, I see no point in allowing them to the point where the competition drags on (were on our fourth month) and people loose interest. Also I'm trying to add some professionalism to the competition in order to display what it's like in the world we live in. You guys can use creative things to promote and showcase your proposal but having a nice file to read through not only takes a lot off of the judges, but it also helps you in thinking through your submission and adding details that make it more real and detailed.I agree with @jdmdisney99 that it seems more like @Sam4D23 's competition then @Matt7187 and @Zweiland 's competition. I also would like to add that changing the rules completely is pretty confusing and I don't understand why you posted that without the consent of Matt. If this is the way the comp. is going, I may or may not have to throw in the towel. Also, I'm kinda confused by the whole project proposal document thing.
I would like to add that Matt7187 and Zweiland's WEDCAR Race has officially changed to Sam4D23's WEDCAR Race.
I will try contacting him, but he has not been on the board in a while and this comp only has three contestants and is in it's fourth month. Something is needed to get people excited again and interacting with the comp. That's my ultimate goal with these new rules, is to make people excited again and get this compettion running again. That is correct. This was first and foremost Matt's idea, so he would want to have some say such a major change of the rules. The way we did it was one person would post the challenge in a PM before posting on the contest thread, and the other person would edit it as necessary.
