well, i have a bs in graphic design, but i'm not as creative as some of my friends who i graduated with. this post made me remember to get my page back up, and i've already traded a few emails with my new web-host tonight. hopfully it'll be up in 3 days.

i wasn't too surprised that it dissapeared. it was too good of a deal to be true. i thought about this happening when i signed up, but i deceided to take the risk. oops.:hammer:

yea, i thought you site was well made. and yes, it is hard to make dial-up-friendly sites these days.

I do all my design in photoshop..i have a degree in computer arts and animation so i figure i may as well put it to SOME use...heh..

the payoff is that i am NEVER happy with my designs..my page has gone thru 29 versions in the last 2 years...thats....horrible...

I have been activly working on my new page for the past few days and am now ironing out the PHP...blah...taking forever...

I must admit, I haven't done a whole lot of Geocities surfing, but what I have been to there....I haven't had any pop-ups, just drop-downs. I don't mind those at all. Every other service I used that was free had some serious popping going on, or very limited server space. I am a space-hog.

Honestly, I tried using Yahoo's HTML editor. I felt so limited & it took so much more time. I hated it. I am really committed to my Front Page.

I also like to use my note pad and then copy and paste the code. I dont bother with Front Page. I mean why spend money on a program when you can do the same thing for free with a program that comes on all Windows computers. I don't know... mabye it is just because this is how I have done it in the past. But as I said when I am lazy I will use Page Builder.

Other good free domains are:

and there are tons more. you just have to find them.
