I always bring a sweater or jacket to WDW, and I live here! The weather can be unpredictable around here. Today, at 7AM, the temperature is 55 degrees F in northern Florida...usually around 10 degrees cooler than WDW. Last week, it was 75 degrees at the same time. Even when it was 65 yesterday, the wind was fairly strong, so I was happy I had a sweater with me! There is a possibility that the nights MIGHT be cool during your trip. Also, you might find some of the attractions too cool for comfort. Don't forget a lightweight poncho, or be prepared to buy one there....it can be rainy in the fall. (and not the typical 1 hour downpours you get in the summer....it can rain all day long in the fall)

I'll try to give you a Brits view, this may help.
The first time we visited WDW was in early April, a few years ago. I can tell you quite truthfully that for 13 days I didnt wear a jumper /jacket, even though most evenings we got back well after 10pm. BUT on the final day, it rained heavily and was "cold"; jumper required. Looking at the weather statistics, late Oct/Nov should be very similar to early April. You have to be prepared, but you dont have to go to the usual extremes of precaution associated with a British holiday. Just leave a little extra clothing in the park locker, near the entrance.
You have also chosen a time of stastically low rain fall, so this may not be too much of a problem. The lightweight Ponchos mentioned by MOM are very good value (just a few dollars, we had to buy six for our family and we still have them!), so you could even wait to see how you go before buying such items.
By the way, I can still remember the excitement and anticipation of our first visit. You're in for a real treat!!

All I can say is be prepared.
I have seen fountains at Epcot frozen over, frost on the ground, and extreme heat in the fall - winter months
(not on the same trip)

It depends... pack whatever u can that is good for sun, rain, and cool weather (i took my brother to school this morning and it was VERY surprisingly cool outside... but that was probably just my imagination... :hammer: ). Living in Florida my whole life, Im used to weather changes every hour. One minute the sun is out and burning skin... the next its a light drizzle...

Oh, and if you are planning on going to WDW durring Hurricane season (June 1 - November 1 [I think]), I have heard reports that the fronts that push the big storms away b4 they do big damage is not gonna be as helpful this year. My suggestion is b4 u leave check the weather channel, news papers and other sources for forecasts here in FLA.

I don't like air-conditioning, so I always bring sweaters and jackets no matter what time of year we visit. We always bring 2 sets of comfortable sneakers or other footwear for each person, too - hiking around in wet shoes all day can really ruin your mood! If you're going to bring canvas sneakers, Scotchguard them (wait, do they sell that over there? - it's a spray-on waterproofer!) You won't believe how much dryer your feet will be in treated sneakers.

Have fun - you will LOVE it there!!!
