Hey guys! I'm coming to WDW in October. Anyone know how the weather usually is at that time? Also how are the crowds? We just went at Christmas time and the crowds were crazy. This will be our 21st trip but never have we gone in October. Thanks!!

I know you're new here, so for future reference, there's an entire section on weather. Should be pretty good. I've never been during that time personally, but friends have told us it's about 80 degrees.

We went from October 8-13, 2012. It was very warm (unseasonably so -- we had daily highs in the high 80s, instead of high 70s-low 80s, which is more the norm) and we saw nary a drop of rain. Crowds were fairly low and with sound planning and use of FPs, we didn't wait in line for anything for more than 10 minutes. (There was one anomalous long wait at Big Thunder, but I'm not "counting" it because it was caused by a mechanical failure and not ride capacity/crowd issues.)

I'd recommend October (especially early October -- crowds go up as Halloween approaches) to anyone. For planning purposes, you'll either want to incorporate or else plan around the Epcot Food & Wine Festival and MK's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

October is a great time to go. Gone 2x in Oct and once the first week of November. If I'm not mistaken, I believe October may be the month with the historically least amount of "days of rain" for Florida.

Very warm during the day, comfortable at night. Wine and Food and MNSSHP are both terrific events

I personally think October is one of the best times to visit disney world. Good weather (usually) and crowds are also manageable! Have a fab time x

We went to years ago to Orlando in October but did not visit Disney Parks. So I could not tell you how the crowds were there but at Universal they were not bad at all. We went down for HHN and visited IOA and Seaworld for a week. The weather waas still hot for us. It was upper 80's low 90's. The parks closed early also that kind of sucked.
