Hi,

How's the weather in Orlando this week. We are headed to the world from the 8th until the 15th and are curious about the weather. The forecast shows rain everyday, but I am curious as to if it is actually raining every day, or just for an hour or two a day.

Best Wishes,

-Erik

Last August we were there 12-20. Plan on a thunderstorm every day. It may not happen every day, but be prepared and have ponchos handy. When they come it's usually mid-late afternoon and last 30-60 mns. You'll see it coming.

We tended to take breaks around lunch time. We'd hit the pool and relax. When we saw the storm coming we'd go back to the room and get ready to go back to parks. By the time we got to parks the storm was done. Alot of people leave the parks when storms come so it's a good time to go back (or stay).

It's typical August weather this week. Hot with afternoon thunderstorms, usually lasting an hour or two.

My in-laws were there the last week of July & said they had a lot of rain, but not all day. I believe they said around 4:00 PM they would get storms. It's to be expected during summer in Florida, but it shouldn't rain all day :)

expect scattered thunderstorms in the afternoons, they usually hit in the mid-late afternoon, but can be hit or miss in coming (eg. on sunday threw it down at DHS when my DH was working, yet we had no rain at all here in davenport which is approx 15miles away from wdw.)

The NHC is reporting a tropical wave in the atlantic, but its currently classed as low chance of development, but keep you eye on it, August is usually the most active month hurricane wise.
