Weather--need a new plan. Help?

We've got a weather emergency. Tomorrow is our only day in the parks, and we're traveling with two small children. I was prepared for a few quick showers, but now we've got a strong chance of thunderstorms. How should we tackle this?

go to the parks. we took a 5 month old and 2 year old in horrendous thunderstorms last year. we got drenched but they were- as the two year old said- warm and cozy - in their strollers under their stroller rain covers. they work great!
nope- its not as much fun as if the weather were nice- but i wouldn't miss out a day at disney over rain. bonus- since so many people feel like you do- the lines are short, you get a lot done in a little time

Go to the parks. It's Florida and it can be very likely that showers or thunderstorms will be intermittent throughout the day. Yesterday we had thunderstorms in the forecast and it rained occasionally through the day but it certainly wasn't anything constant that would have kept me out of a park if I was visiting.

I say you should still go to the parks. When we were in WDW in October they were literally calling for the end of the world storm to hit the night we were suppose to attend MNSSHP. We still went and it misted for about 15 minutes:lol: Still go!

Go, have fun. It is not unusual for the predictions to sound worse than what actually happens. Make sure you have ponchos or some type of rain gear for everyone.

If today in any indication, it rained (light rain) for about 20 minutes and has stopped. Nothing a $1.99 poncho from Wal-Mart or Target can't fix.

Just bring extra socks and you'll be fine.

Have fun.

I am here right now and it is calling for scatter T-Storms. When it says scattered in Florida it means just that, scattered. Do not let it scare you away.

I agree with all of the previous posts. I was at MK in the Spring once and the weather according to my phone stated it was currently raining at 100% and the radar was completely covered in green. It never rained all night. Not a drop. Just go prepared.

Thanks everybody. It never crossed my mind not to go to the park. I'd just meant, what's our best plan for bad weather--best indoor attractions, keep MK as we'd planned, or is another park better in the rain, that sort of thing. By the way, tonight in Downtown Disney we got absolutely drenched. Hope it's just a few showers tomorrow. To everyone who's down here with me, hope you have a blast!

Happy 4th birthday!! Just go to a lot of the indoor shows and cover up the strollers with ponchos. That way the kids will stay warm and dry. If it is just a shower, it won't be too bad. Heavy downpours are another thing. Duck inside a show or shop or plan a snack or meal during one of those. Stay dry! Have a wonderful time!:)
