I will be in "The World" from February 16-18. Can anyone tell me what kind of weather to expect so I know what to pack? This is my first visit in the winter. Thanks

I've never been at that time myself. I know weather.com has a 10-day forecast you can review. But WDW has had some crazy weather this year. I'd probably prepare for just about anything.....:)

Be sure to pack layers.

AWIS/NWS is forecasting several cold patterns to continue along the south during the next couple weeks. I don't know if they will reach all the way to Orlando, but I'd want to be prepared if they do.

We were in the World in early Jan. when the major cold spell hit. It was very cold, and I was glad I had packed coats, hats, scarves and gloves for the family. We used them. If I were going in the next couple weeks, I would definitely pack all that again, especially if you are driving down.

However, as always with Orlando, be prepared for warm weather too. We were in teeshirts on new years eve.

Keyword: Layers.

Cold fronts continue to keep the cooler weather in Florida. My guess would be that the daytime highs will be in the 60's, and the lows at night will reach into the 40's. It is too early to give a definite answer.

If the current trend continues I would plan for this.

my relatives work for disney(one at AKL and the other at MK). They have said the weather is going up and down. Right now its around the mid-50s. so not too warm. I would defiantly pack sweatshirts and pants just to be safe. also pack tees though, According to weather.com, the 18th is supposed to be in the 60s

We currently have some good friends at WDW so have been watching the weather. I have it up as a widget on my computer at home and have yet to see it break the mid to upper 60's. This morning it was in the high 40's at 11am! Brrrr.

My boyfriend and I went last year during the last week in Feb.
It was chilly during the day. We wore jeans and long sleeve tees or hooded sweatshirts every day. We were comfortable in long sleeves, not too hot or cold.

The nights were the chilliest. I shivered through Fantasmic!
I would prepare for cold nights with a jacket!

But like the other posters...I'd pack for all weathers. Following the current weather pattern it looks like its going to be cold then, but I'd bring some warm clothes too just in case!

hope this helps! have fun!

Here in Vero Beach today it got up to 58 and the low tomorrow is supposed to 34. Yesterday it was 78 and a low of 54. The local TV weather forecasts have the highs here next week to be in the low to mid 60's and the low temps in the low to mid 40's. I would assume that Orlando would be a few degrees cooler. So I would plan on sweatshirts and jeans, but bring a pair of shorts and T shirts incase there is one really warm day.

Here's how it's been here in Orlando lately, mainly in the 60's... One day it will get warmer into the upper 70's, bad storms come after the warmup, then the next day or two it's in the 50's. After that, it's back to the upper 60's/lover 70's.

We did have a three week cold snap a few weeks back, but hopefully it's long gone and we're just in store for our normal snaps of chilliness!

It's been nice enough for me to wear shorts with a polo shirt during the days, but I've had a fleece jacket to put on around 4PM. I've wanted to put on pants at night, but haven't been freezing with shorts (most nights).

i would also suggest you that pack a bit of everything. we got caught up in the cold spell that hit after new years, we weren't prepared at all and were really affected by how cold it was. so take layers but take some summer clothes too.
