weather in disney

My family and I are planning our disney trip for next friday August 5 - 12 and we have been checking the 10 day forecast and it shows alot of chances of rain and thunderstorms. This is what we have seen them showing for the last month. How is the weather there right now and can we expect our trip to be rained out?????????????? Thanks

I don't know how the weather is this second, but it is generally pretty rainy in August, at least in the afternoons. If you're willing to get a little wet, just wear shoes that don't let in much water and get a poncho (they are available in the parks, or you can pack them).

Generally the rain and thunderstorms last like 20-30 minutes, and ponchos are a good idea.It rains almost everyday in Florida.

Expect a short, sharp shower during the afternoon in August - they're so regular you could set your watch by them !

Also keep in mind that there is a ton of shelter everywhere so you dont have to get wet if you don't want to...

I just hope they don't linger on all day. I know it's not a big deal to you people that go everyweekend. But when you go once a year you would like to be a be able to have manageable weather.

Hi, we went fromJuly9-17th and I was always upset by seeing the weather forecast when I checked the week before. But believe me we had nothing to worry about. I actually think the weather for Florida always says thunderstorms for the whole month of July and August. I know how you feel I waited a whole year for my vacation, and all I saw for the forecast was RAIN. Don't worry,it will be beautiful except for an hour or two downpour almost everyday, the sun returns usually ALWAYS returns. You will have a great time!!!!!

Hey i'm in Florida right now!
I just arrived yesterday.
The weather is pretty good here, except when we were eating dinner at a restaurant, it started to rain really hard!!
Besides that the weather was great!!
really hot and humid tho.. since i'm used to dry places. (california)
by the way, i'm going to epcot tomorrow!! so excited!!! :sohappy:
