You're coming down during the start of rainy season. It could very well be very wet when you arrive, as Tropical Storm Andrea is expected to move into the area Friday/Saturday and rain for a few days. There's a lot of smoke in the air too. You can smell it everywhere. it's particularly heavy in the morning. This morning, there was less than 2 miles of visibility in Celebration.

Just wanted to add that there is a Weather forum that might have more up to date info than you will find on the general boards. Enjoy your trip!

Hello,

I just looked at accuweather.com and it doesn't show any rain accumulation but it seems that everyone are talking about rain... What's going on ?

The storm is just sitting there, so it's hard to predict exactly which way it will move. It's also extremely dry, so it's not hitting the typical humidity; last night, doppler showed the rain just evaporating as it came inland. I'm not sure if the heat from the fires, and the smoke, will also affect it.

So when you combine all of these things, it's even less predictable than usual. So, some meteorologists are predicting rain, others are not. And the predictions are changing hourly around here.

NOOOOOO!!!! The most you will get is a windy rainy day, and even that isn't for sure. The smoke comes and goes, so there's a good chance that you might not even notice, or will have limited exposure.

You will undoubtedly have more beautiful days than bad ones, and even a rainy day at WDW is better than a sunny day most other places. ;)

Ok! :)

I'll see you Friday then! :) Thanks for the info!

It's just that it seems that everything is getting worst now.. Accuweather was all good couple days ago, then chances of thunderstorm, and now afternoon thunderstorm... most days..

Welcome to Florida summertime. There are thunderstorms almost every day, but they don't last very long, and they clear the air. I actually welcome them. ;)

I don't pay attention to forecasts that are more than 4 days out.

Basically, the standard FL forecast, from May - Oct is :

Mostly sunny, chance of afternoon thunderstorms, highs in the ... 80s until June, then 90s until the end of Sept, then 80s until November...with a chance of thunderstorms every day. Morning rain is a bit more rare, but is usually associated with a weather front, such as the one we're seeing right now.

Again, it's not like my summers in New England where a rainy spell (rain all day) would last for a whole week. It just doesn't happen here except in the winter. You MIGHT have a rainy day or two, but I've never had a rainy week.

I keep checking different weather sites too because we leave tomorrow to come down, and they all say different things, so I'm just going to wait till I get down there and see what it is like. I was in Florida last year May 29th through June 4th and it was beautiful every single day! But the again after the winter we just went through I will take anything as long as its nice and warm!:)
