We Need EPCOT Center Now More Than Ever!

They already do something like that in the Magic Kingdom having to go from place to place (the interactive screens, not sure what they are called). It would actually be kind of cool, then multi-task, get that and Pokemon going at once (while I don't see the point of the Pokemon game since there isn't really an end goal or anything, it is cool how it has created such a large community),
What you're thinking of is Sorcerer's of The Magic Kingdom. Pokemon Go's end goal is to become the very best that no one ever was, and to catch em' all.

Nope. You're just suffering from a strong case of Juvenoia, believing in the "kids these days" sentiment that has been going on since Shakespeare's day.

Edit: Here's the 1627 "kids these days" engraving I was talking about. http://wellcomeimages.org/indexplus/image/L0020217.html

Oh, it goes back further than that. Here's a quote from Socrates...

“The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise.”

Aha, but I've got you beat! It goes back EVEN further. Ever heard the phrase "Honor your father and mother"?

I love the argument about the vision of EPCOT Center. I agree it's time to go back to it's real vision. Level the whole thing and build a city.

While Disney has certainly brought more IPs and less edutainment to Epcot, it's hardly surprising that the current edutainment environment has failed, no matter what the present intellectual make-up of American society is. Epcot may have presented a entertaining experience at its beginning, but the current state of Future World is a joke. People may still be interestested in edutainment, but when you present it to them in the form of, I don't know...Journey Into Imagination, it's no wonder people aren't clamoring for more attractions like this. I still believe that edutainment can work, but they have to provided in good quality. I'll keep saying it...Disney charges ultra-premium prices, and therefore people expect ultra-premium experiences. Anything less will ultimately fail no matter whether it is edutainment based or IP attractions.
