We live in Clermont, 20 or so minutes from Disney and just had the best BBQ item ever!

We are kind of new to the area, about 2 years or so and we went to a local BBQ place and had their egg rolls tonight that were the best ever. Pulled pork and coleslaw egg rolls from Uncle Kennys. I think they have won a bunch of awards, every one else had other stuff which they rated 10/10 but those HUGE eggrolls were da' bomb. I can't think of anything at Disney that compares and I've eaten at Flametree a hundred times. Just sharing if anyone cares, LOL!

Sounds good. There is a teppan place near us. The teppan offerings are hit or miss, and it is a bit of a funky vibe (Led Zepplin and the Ramones on the radio while in a Japanese restaruant - funky) Sushi is good there, and so are the drinks. But what made me think of this is they have a cheesteak egg roil on the menu. An egg roll, but with ribeye, cheese, and sauteed onions - damn that thing is good.

Congratulations on your gastronomic treat. I think that many dining establishments would beat the quality of food found at Disney parks in their respective categories. Well, Disney does win in the category of takeout and walk around while eating a bird appendage. But really, it's because most restauranteurs refuse to compete at such a level of category.

Where is this cheesteak egg roll to be found?...probably not to far for us and we love some egg rolls, the more unique the better!

I dont know where Phonedave was talking about, but there is an Italian place in Philadelphia that has a bunch of different "eggrolls" for appetizers - including a cheese steak one. It is Davio's. We also had the buffalo chicken and the chicken parm ones. So good!

I think some of the flavors were/are available in grocery stores. I saw them once. But I don't know if they still sell those, or where.

How do you like living in Clermont? My husband and I will be moving close to Disney at some point, and I've been thinking about Clermont.

We love it here, we live in the area closer to where highways 50 and 27 intersect. It takes about 30 minutes to get from our home to WDW.
