OH MY GOODNESS - we just joined DVC!!

We have been joking about joining for a few weeks now and hubby just made the call and JOINED!!

We have our member number and everything! Does that make it official?

I can't wait to get home as soon as we can!

We now own 200 points at the Beach Club Villas!!

I am so excited I can't sit still!! :sohappy:  :sohappy:

There are places in Hawaii. We stayed at the Mauni Lani Bay resort and Bugalows this summer and it was great, a 5 + star resort. In fact Lisa Marie Presley was maried there just after we were there..:)

I have never been to a "purchase presentation: where the atmosphere was less about making sure I bought and more about making sure it was right for me. My guide is the best and I have since revisited twice to purchase new points. It is one of the best investments ) for the next 40 years.

Anyone else out there love DVC like I do? I have enountered many members (including some on the video) from all over the world, and the only ones I have found who dislike it are on this board. DVC makes the avergae timeshare look cheap!

I couldn't agree more mickeyfanatics or said it better! We looked at many other time share and this is the best! Talk about low key sales pitch. NONE compare! And the choices to trade are great.

I agree that the sales pitch was wonderful (one reason we bought the first time we visited).

I don't think that it's appropriate, though, to bash Dizknee_Phreek (or any other DVC member) because he or she isn't feeling really great about their purchase.

If you read my early posts about DVC (when this board came into its newest incarnation) you'll see that I said, outright, that DVC is not a win from a purely financial point of view. I also mentioned earlier in this thread that the perks have been reduced.

I would much rather find out why he or she is feeling DVC-lowish and either 1) help the person feel better about belonging, or 2) agree to disagree about core causes for his/her beliefs.

[sorry for sounding so psyco-babble-ish and touchy-feely]

My wife and I went there on DVC for our honeymoon in 2001. Loved it there. 10 nights. Almost paid for the entire VC.
