I know you cannot get a refund but can you use those funds for a later date.

Has anyone had any experience with this and can advise?

We were able to transfer MNSSHP tickets to MVMCP tickets a few years ago at Guest Services. We paid an up charge since the Christmas party tickets were more expensive.

The tickets usually are not transferable to another date. I would suggest calling and explaining your situation to a CM. In my experiences, the CMs are more than willing to do what they can to assist you or offer an alternative solution.

Honestly surprised at the refund. You can also "transfer" to other individuals if you have linked them to your account or outright sell them if you haven't.

I did receive a refund a couple of years ago but have tried 3 times with different CM's and no refund. I will be able to use them at a future date for other Disney Tickets if we do not get to go.

We have all our reservations including airfare set to go but it's 3 months out so we will see.

A couple years ago we ended up not being able to go but they let us use the funds when we renewed our AP's. They also said we could apply the funds to any future ticket...park entry or event.

I had tickets for boo bash last October 2021. We had to cancel our trip. I called and could get a refund but they gave me credit to use at a later time. We are going this august and luckily the mickeys Halloween party is happening when we go, I called and they applied my credit and issued a refund for the difference.

This is the best option if you have good days. In the pre-pandemic times if you had Halloween night you could easily flip them for several times the face value. Disneyland would often see tickets going for 1000 a pop, MK was not quite as popular but you would see see them going for a couple hundred a pop. Now if you have ticket more than a week out from Halloween and on a weekday they often would go on the open market for a little under face value. So depending on your tickets they may actually make you some money.

Don't encourage that behavior, its why the first and Halloween sell out so fast. Just scalpers jacking the price

Reality is scalper have already gotten into the action, and honestly having them involved can also get you a discount on tickets. Pre pandemic when we went we would usually get an additional Halloween party by snagging some tickets from ebay where it was pretty clear from the sellers number of different dates they were selling, that they were scalpers but were forced to drop the prices below face value because they were weekdays that never got high demand. Scalping doesn't always get the sky high prices. Sometimes they result in discounts on tickets.

Not sure why people get so hype for those 2 dates... we've hit both in the past simply because our trip coincided with those dates and while I can see people wanting Halloween, my kids were upset they didn't get to do Halloween with their friends in the neighborhood that year... as for the early time, it didn't feel right having Halloween celebrations that early when it wasn't even that easy find costumes before the trip started. Frankly unless Disney has cut back on the total tickets sold now, the parties had gotten too crowded and really weren't that cool anymore. Over the years they went from cool candy that sometimes included things you rarely saw to the cheap crap you would be ashamed to handout at your own house.

They do and the scalpers know it. These are professionals not Tom and Rudy from Kissimmee. Money to be made and they will swarm to make as much as they can from any event others put on.
These are the same people selling baseball, hockey/sports tickets and not the legitimate players in the space. More like fringe feeders but still working their hustle for their living.
If they have a break or loss on the other dates it is a net win and they play on volume to cover all their bases same as investing in the stock market. You win some and you lose some but in the end you try to win more.
