Magic Kingdom:
Stitch's Great Escape- This is an attraction that I have not seen elicit any joy from anyone; Lifelong park fans, and average guests alike. Park fans hate the attraction because of it's bastardization of the acclaimed Alien Encounter, and normal guests hate it because it's simply bad showmanship. If only fans despise a ride but daily guests enjoy it, I can understand why disney wouldn't bother. But when both sides of the coin are crying Nay, maybe its time to reconsider. When a 3 part show attraction like this always less than a 10 minute wait time...well, yeah its time to reconsider.
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor- Just let me note, I do not want to see this attraction removed, just relocated to Hollywood Studios. I think it's a brilliant attraction in it's utilization of live interactive animation and clever Family-oriented improv. Every time I visit the show, it elicit's laughter and joy from just about everybody. It just feels so out of place in the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland. In a perfect world I wish disney would relocate the attraction to Pixar Place in Hollywood Studios. It's really a fantastic ride with an excellent technical concept and a smart backstory that adheres faithfully to the film and makes sense. Great attraction, wrong location.
The Enchanted Tiki Room- Now, now, before you all start name calling and striking down rains of brimstone upon me, just hear me out. I understand it's disney history, believe me I appreciate that fact as much as the next guy. But this is an attraction that I simply have no desire to visit. I mean it's a cute show once, but nothing really sparks an insatiable craving to return to a tiki theater and watch birds sing like humans. With no real redeeming value I'm just surprised they brought the original back to begin with. This attraction works well in disneyland because of the historical significance behind it. But being a clone in Disney World, I doubt anyone is really going to make a fuss if the attraction had left or was replaced. Even with the original show intact it's undergone cuts. Magic Kingdom just isn't gelling well with this attraction kinda like that awkward engaged couple we all knew at some point. I think it's time for these two, to start seeing other people. This space could be so better utilized.
Rapunzel's Tower- Curios; they lead the viewer to a direct point of frame. I get that. But when lead subconciously against your will, you must deliver something at some point. In this case, an elaborately themed restroom. No meet & greet...a restroom. Again, you;'ve got a wonderful curio standing out in broad sight amongst other themed areas like a sore thumb and you deliver a restroom....needless to say....what the F?
Hollywood Studios:
Voyage of the Little Mermaid- This isnt a bad attraction in any sense, it just time to move on with something new. It's filled its purpose for a while, but now we finally have the Little Mermaid attraction that imagineer's have dreamt for nearly 2 decades. This choice isn't out of spite for the show. This choice is simply a chance to let the show close with a nice send off.
Beauty and the Beast- Same story. Enchanted Tales with Belle already says what needs to be said plus has that extra sparkle of disney magic that sticks with you. The musical may now part in peace
Lights Motors Action- First off, Im going to be honest and say I've never seen this show in person. A stunt show about cars just doesn't excite me like it does the europeans. I've seen videos of the show on youtube but even then nothing's really hooked me or made me think, Man I wish I was there right now watching the show live. and from what I've heard other people say about the show, Im sure it's overstayed it's welcome.
The Backlot Tour- Man, Disney just can't get this one right, and god knows they've tried. Dont get me wrong, I do love the atmosphere of the sound stages, and that cool pre-show effects portion. But the actual tour itself..well...It's no longer a working studio, so why have a studio tour? All of the odds are against this attraction now. Traveling through sound stages where little to no work commences. An out of date special effects portion that no longer has that wow-factor it use to. Another example of an attraction that simply needs to go or be retooled altogether.
Sounds Dangerous- Everything thats needed to be said has already been said about this little attraction that tried, I'm sure.
