Trip Report We are venturing outside our comfort zones and hoping the reward is worth it!! April 11 -23, 2021

Hello! I am, again, going to attempt to do a semi livish trip report and then fill in the details when I return. Like Rapunzel, when we made these plans, I definitely was taking a leap a faith! I, like all of us, have had a long year. We are DVC members and it was time to use the points. It is that simple. I can't tell you how thrilled I am now!

The cast remains the same! Den (my husband), Deighton(me), Hunter (16), Camden (9), and Brinley (5 and starts kindergarten in the fall). Some of us are a lot taller and some of us wider...

We fly Southwest out of Pittsburgh early Sunday morning and land in Orlando around 10:15am.( I feel like I struck gold with 2 nonstop flights!) Then we head to the home where animals belong, a one bedroom villa at Animal Kingdom Lodge until April 19th. Then we move to Cabana Bay Beach Resort until the 23rd. Universal is a whole new world for us. Any advice for the entire length of stay is welcome!

I can not believe we have been here a week!! Time just poof...disappeared! Yesterday was a day of food! Today is a day of walking. Tomorrow we transfer to Cabana Bay Beach Resort and hit up Universal. The weather is looking pretty rainy Monday and Tuesday but that has never stopped us before!

Thanks so much!! I am going to keep posting here for the trip to Universal. I don't expect anyone to follow. Lol! I am interested in the differences. I talked to a couple last night who felt Universal studios was pretty on point with guidelines besides line congestion. There was someone at the end of every line squirting sani spray. We finally got C for Soarin!! Third and final ride this trip! Again for the second time this trip. First ride of the day!

Next up LWTL! I just love this little boat tour. In a week, they really picked a lot of veggies!

We made our way to Spaceship Earth! Our pictures didn't show up. Wait time was posted at 50 minutes and ended up being 20 minutes!

We had to head towards the World Showcase for ANOTHER Italian meal! We had an hour to kill and made a quick stop in Mexico. We were a little disappointed because they moved the margaritas line outside. It changed since Tuesday but it actually breaks up the congestion so far future park goers, it is much better!

We kept walking towards Italy but had half an hour to kill so Den and I went in separate decorations and ended up with this!

A banana beer! Yummy delicious!

Well we did, finally, make it here to Tutti Italia! It is our first time! Love the ambiance, service and food! My steak is cooked to perfection!

On a side note and I will save you from taking pictures but I have been eaten alive this trip! They tell me they are no see-ums. I am covered in very itchy bites! I have brought bug spray every trip for 20 years and have never used it. I scratched it off the list.(pun intended) Just a heads up for those of you coming soon! Now back to the world showcase and caffeine!

Your report is making me so excited for my trip next week!!! I'll mention the bug spray to my Mom so she will pack some. She probably does anyway (she's always got everything you might need, no matter how obscure it might be lol) Have so much fun over at Uni!! I'll def be following along!!

Looking forward to your take on Uni. My DD and her DH are making plans to go next year for the first time. We have never been so I can’t help her any.
