I've found a November 1990 cab ride video of the Lilly Belle on YouTube! It was probably taken by a former WDWRR cast member:

Very restricted view from the front. Must have definitely been from a CM because guests have never been allowed to ride up front like that as we were allowed to do at one time in the Monorail.

To add, it also shows the train emerging from the backstage storage area.

It's interesting to see how barren the railroad route was back then. I wish the downtime for Tron had allowed for major additions to the railroad. Perhaps an older era of Disney would have cared.

Yes. Even now there is a lot of stretches of land that could be "dressed up " for guests riding to visually enjoy.
