Hello my cake loving friends! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have a small cake update for all of you this week...
First cake was made by the AKL bakery. They were quoted $62, but paid $40...
I'm hoping it's just the photo and not the cake itself, but from the pic...not a fan of this cake. The person who bought it was very pleased and I guess I'd be better off with this at $40.
Next, a mini wedding cake from the GF...
This was $45...and as some of you know, the Cheshire Cat is my #2 fave character...so, I kind of love this. I really want an Alice in Wonderland themed cake at some point...so, I'm going to have to remember some of these little details.
This pirate themed cake was also done by the GF and was $40...
Wedding Cake Wednesday on the blog this week was kind of boring...at least from a cake standpoint. Their post was about candy apples. I like candy apples, but they're not cake. So, I decided to share a few pics in their gallery for wedding planning.
I still think this first style is perfect to be translated to a single tier with a Cinderella theme (with the 3D Cindy topper)...
This next one is a topper option that's not posted in the anniversary cakes, but that would make for a cute cake...
This next one is a color treatment option on the castle topper. Now, I can't say for certain...but from what I know from others and buying a cake with the castle...the plain white chocolate castle starts somewhere around $100. The more you want done to that castle, the more the castle costs. I think it's around $150-165 to have the castle turned into the sandcastle topper...so, I'm guessing something like this lavender treatment would run around the same.
Here's another fun one for details...
And I can't remember if I've shared this mini before. I know I've posted similar cakes...but I can't recall on this specific one. Oh well, not like it hurt anyone to look at the same cake pic twice.
Also thought this take on the delight style was cute...
Alright, that's enough for now. Time to go nurse the turkey hangover with what else? Yup, more turkey!
