WDWmagic on a Mac

Hi everyone:wave:

So I check out WDWmagic often from work using a Dell PC and Internet Explorer.

However when I am at home I use a Mac and I have tried browsing with Safari and Firefox and I cannot seem to access WDWmagic. IE doesn't support Mac anymore but I guess I could use an old version of that browser.

Does anyone have a clue as to why I would be having that problem? Is it the browser? WDWmagic seems to be the only site that I try to access that I cannot get to load.

Thanks.

Its not Firefox as many of us here use that. Try checking with your internet provider, quite a few people have had that problem.

You can also try logging out, clearing all cookies and then trying again; sometimes that helps.

I'm on a MacBook, and I use both Firefox (default) and Safari, and I don't have any problems accessing the site.

Perhaps doing what tigsmom suggests and clearing out your history and cookies might help. Also, as Steve points out, you may want to make sure you're trying to get to the home page and not another page within the site. A 404 error usually means that your computer is communicating with the site, but the page you're trying to get doesn't exist so it sends back the 404 error.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. If other people have no problem then maybe I have some setting on my machine or something that I am not aware of. I have cleared cookies and history so I know that is not it. I also always have tries simply www.wdwmagic.com so I know I am not going to a page that is no longer there.

When I try again, if I am successful I will come back here and post the results incase someone else has a similar problem.

Just as a heads up, wdwmagic.com works from my work Mac, my macbook pro, and from my iPHone...so it is definately not the safari interface...

Do you have any ports blocked? (I.e. there isn't anything like netnanny on there is there?)

Also - make sure you have the most recent version of safari on your machines.

Are there other sites that bring back the error message? Are there any commonalities? (i.e. are they all forum websites?)

Not at all sure what your problem here might be. Try clearing all your cookies and caches....then EXIT safari...then reopen it and try again.

Are you able to reach any of the WDWMAGIC sites?

reviews.wdwmagic.com

photoalbums.wdwmagic.com ?

It sounds more like a connection problem than a browser problem. Can you try rebooting your router? What service provider fo you use?
