wdwmagic meet

I responded to your PM. I won't be leaving here until the day before, so we can still hash something out and plan some sort of meet in the parks, also, that morning. Maybe we can all get bruised and battered on PW? Or have the wdwmagic wet T-shirt contest on Kali? ;) Or we could meet at MGM, do RnR or ToT, catch a light lunch...whatever!

I just have enough to do planning one evening, and making sure everyone gets checked in (for the slumber party) and planning food, etc.

I am more than happy to meet in the parks...I'll be there more than one day, so there is more than one opportunity...just PM me with any ideas!

I will also be back December 7th & 8th, as will other members.(according to posts) Whether I want to meet anyone else remains to be seen...I'll see how the first one goes!

Good research, Disneyprep! But (life's full of big but's, and I've got one of 'em), if you look at the wording in that section closely, it says "licensed premises". I take that to mean the section is written specifically for a business licensed to sell alcohol for on site consumption. Some states laws get a little fuzzy with the issue of minors being served alcohol in a private residence, by consenting parents or legal guardians. You may want to see if there are any other sections under Florida Law that apply to just mere possession by a minor.

Isn't law fun?:hammer:

i think at least in south florida anyway (dont quote me) but if you give alcohol to a minor (parties at a home ) and the kids hurt someone or themselves the parents from where the party was held can be held responsible

There is a very fine line...there were two incidents recently where teenagers were killed while driving drunk. One group got their drinks at a sports bar...it was fined, and the owners sued...it has gone out of business. The other took place after she left a house party at a VERY exclusive gated community...she was not killed, but the people she hit were. The parents involved were not charged...whether because of their postion or the law is unclear. I've also heard of parents/adults being charged with obtaining alcohol for minors. However, it IS illegal for minors to drink alcohol...period...and I would prefer not to spend any time worrying about someone else's child. And if ANYTHING inappropriate happened, I would feel terrible, even if I WEREN'T legally liable!

As I said, if some of the teens want to get together, AT THE PARKS, and don't mind an old "fogey: or two showing up, let me know!

However, we (the party girls) don't want to spend all of our time running around trying to meet lots of different folk...we want to see it all, and still have a little pool/relaxing time! ;)

Like i said before, I am not discussing this topic anymore about the adults and what they want to do. I think I already made a lot of people mad at me and im going to leave this thread, and talk it over with Marcia in a PM.

Thanks,
Cam:animwink:

Im going to say this once...dont take it as being mean....

We werent really originally intending to make the meeting PUBLIC.....so the restraint on having MINORS there is no biggie. I can TOTALLY understand why The mom made the rule..and I TOTALLY agree with it. I personally would not want to be in charge of a party im hosting when there are minors involved...sorry...I know it seems SOOOOOOOOO unfair to anyone who is under 18....but o well....its not like the ENTIRE WEEKEND is for 18+ only.....
